@fasthard ok thanks for explaining! Have a good day!
This is interesting: DAAK considering adopting AACalc
-
This blows me away. I got an e-mail today from president@daak.de asking if I wouldn’t mind if they used my dicey for their tournament, as they are having some trouble with theirs. Wild.
-
Traditional input configuration, so it would be easy for their members to adopt. And it is far more reliable than the one they have that includes a double link through 2 unrelaible sites.
Makes sense to me that they would ask :-)
-
That’s pretty sweet.

I missed a key word in my post this morning…
CONGRATULATIONS!
:-D -
It is about time. :-D
I did one game at DAAK with their confounded dice server and decided to never touch it again. It was enough of a negative experience that I have not gone back.
If they get a reliable server working, I might look at them again but at this point, I have all the game I need right here.

Actually, I got two e-mails a day apart:
First this:
Hi Dan,
just tried your AACalc, and I want to say thats a great tool. :)
We have an A&A PBEM club (www.daak.de), and are looking for a AAR dice server wich stores the results for validation.
I opened a test game and created a game ID. I chosed 3_3232_3 (this is the format of game numbers on our data base). The program accected this 8 character ID, two test rolls worked well and i got emails from the server.
…Alex (aka Panther in the A&A PBEM world)
And then this the day after:
Hi,
We found your AA calc (http://frood.net/aacalc/) in the web and since we have problems with our current AAR-Dicey we are planning to use your Dicey as our regular Dicey for AAR (pure luck) games.
I hope this is OK!?
Thanks,
Chris (Pernaug)

Gee, it’s about time the rest of the community realizes how great a tool AACalc is!
Congradualtions.
And yes, I’m still a retired Admiral in this game. I may come out of retirement later. Right now I’m extremely busy.
-
You hear that, Frood?
She’s calling you a tool!
You gonna take that?!
–
Congrats and stuff.
-
Thanks all.
Sorry I’ve been laying low - I’ve really been enjoying my new job since becoming officially a lawyer last Thursday. I’m at a great little firm. Sadly, this means I have less time to devote to developing AACalc. I may have some time the week of July 1-8 though, we’ll see.
