New to the game need a good strat

Just wanted to mention another place to play online, which probably won’t be going AA50 anytime soon (so if you want a place to play Revised for a while, it’d fit the bill): the IAAPA, which can be found at axisandallies.net
This is one of the oldest A&A clubs around, and these folks are so old school that most of the gaming there is still 2nd edition!  That’s right, Revised is cutting edge at the IAAPA.  However, don’t be too quick to dismiss them, they have some very good players including some very good Revised players.  I’ve played in a number of their Revised tournaments (they have three per year) and have never made it to the finals.

I will just say that there can be no Bombers or Aircraft Carriers with out advanced flight.

Well, if they had left it in and not altered Hvy Bombers except to limit then to best of 3 dice on SBR runs, it would have evened out.

I think the reference was to the tech that allowed you to save 1 IPC per unit.

Spend 20 IPC on tech, get a slightly better than 50% chance.

Now you need to buy 20 units to make that back.  20 infantry now cost you 40 IPC.

Simple.

And leaving that DST alive and the Suez open invites another problem…
A pretty nice UK fleet roaming the Indian Ocean.  By UK2 it can be 2 DST’s, an AC, 2 FIGs, 2 TRNs and a sub.  That puts them on par with Japan’s remaining fleet after Pearl…

O dear I see.  Yay I know what you mean, I guess I was kinda different as a newb.  When I first played, I was against a somewhat experienced player.  So my first game (as allies) I would do my turn very quickly so I could see how he would do one side.  Then on the second game (as axis) I’d do kinda what he did to me, to see how he reacted.  In that way of action and reaction I learned to play my turns quick and kept it that way.  And I hate to just sit around.

ahh i reckon you could use the APC from New World Order… if you wasted money buying that Axis and Allies upgrade like i did…
