New to the game need a good strat

Ok if i was you i would get at least 5 transports and you can have at the least 2 men or 1 tank or 1 man and 1 tank or 1 man and 1 artillary in a single transport. Anyway you need Russia to pressure Germany in the following places: Belorussia, West Russia, Norway. Also make the UK pressure with only bombing raids the following place: Western Europe. Then while Germany is being attacked in the east and west, you will use your transports and send them to Algeria and Libya. After you take those 2 places and build up those 2 places, BE SURE TO DO THIS, as fast as you can push every single thing (from Algeria and Libya)  to Southern Europe. Then tell UK player to stop bombing raids and buy rockets and steal money from German factorys. Then in at the max of 3 turns there will be no more Germans. Ihave done this strategy 7 or 8 times and every time it was succsesful except once. So try that strategy um… hope if works for you. Yes, not 1941 and 1942.

I think we are in agreement, I’ll only buy the 2nd one when I do anticipate 14 units being placed.  I ment the 10-11 unit thing in addition to the IC so I need to be earning about 45 so I can buy 1 IC+10 inf and then place 10 inf (say 3 fic, 7 jap) and then place my IC on either Sin/Ind.  Since I’m already at 44-45, I know next turn I’ll have no trouble spending 45 on 13-14 units.

My typical turns/income will be

Rd 1 - 30 (3 trns, 1 arm, save 1)  - collect 33 (chi + bury) + 1 save
Rd 2 - 34 (1 trn, 6 inf, 1 arm save 3) - collect 37 (chi, sin, bury, sfe, yak) + 3 save (you may be able to take ind but I didn’t count it)
Rd 3 - 40 (1 IC, 8 ground units) - collect 43 (above + ind, aus, hi)
Rd 4 - Here I’d probably pass on a 2nd (purchased) IC until Rd 5 but if I was able to take Novo (or Kaz) in J3 or took Ind in J2 I’d probably be over 45.  So in that case I’d buy the 2nd IC and still place 10 units.  I also have no problem waiting another rd.  Spend my 43 on 8 inf 3 arm save 4 and then in Rd 5 buy the IC and perhaps place on Sin or Ind in this case.

Also the turn that I am short 1 unit is the turn I’ll move the AA to the mainland to cover my IC.

I made two new rules to that can help change strategy and make the game more historically accurate.  They are air transports/paradrops.  You need bombers for this.  For air transports, you can carry anything you can on a transport on a bomber and land it in another friendly territory where it drops off all units in the air transport, but aa rules apply if you fly over an enemy aa gun.  Also, once the bomber lands it stays in that territory for the rest of the turn.  In paradrops, you take a bomber and use it to transport 1 or 2 infantry to either an enemy or friendly territory and then fly it back to a friendly territory.  Again, aa rules apply.  Also, when paradroping into enemy territory the bomber can’t be used both to paradrop and bomb, you either send in two troops or use it to bomb, not both.  Also, if an aa shoots down a bomber with units on it, the bomber as well as the units are lost, and if attacking an enemy territory with an aa gun with paratroopers, the aa gun fires at the bomber before the paratroopers are drooped.  One more thing is that you cannot use bombers used in an attack, airdrop, or bombing raid during the combat phase as an air transport or to paradrop into friendly territory in the noncombat phase.
  Another new rule I made is neutral armies and territory value.  With this, you give neutral territories armies and value so that it becomes legal to take these territories, but you have to fight a neutral army first.  Also, as soon as you attack a neutral territory, the territory and troops in that territory are turned over to one of your enemy nations until you take it over.

good way to delay japan is to play tradeoff with them in Ind (Uk), Yak (Rus), Sin (Us) with whatever inf is available. In the end he will beat you at tradeoffs, but its better than going to an arms race between Russia (getting somewhat pressure by Ger) and Japan. That will definately delay him/her.

A pretty nice UK fleet roaming the Indian Ocean.  By UK2 it can be 2 DST’s, an AC, 2 FIGs, 2 TRNs and a sub.  That puts them on par with Japan’s remaining fleet after Pearl…

At the German site, you either need to be a member, or you have to select a low-luck dice server.  But otherwise, it is exactly like Dicey and is available for regular or revised.

The other die server site would just be annoying to track, especially in some large European fights.

May have to see about membership in DAAK (appears to be free) to use their die server…
