ncscswitch, not to sound like a smart a** but I wasn’t talking about the INF.  This topic is about the FTR.

And in Classic that can happen very quickly.  But in Revised “All” is 4 INF, 1 FIG, and the 4 INF are all 2-4 turns away from India.  And 4 turns is an eternity when discussing something like this.

Had you said “Send the FIG to India” it would not have been an issue and I would not have mentioned it at all.  It was the “all” that involved the 4 INF which are pretty time consuming in getting to India that made me point out the barrier territories for the benefit of others reading this thread.

Just remember you can’t load units into a transport if the seazone is hostile. So for example, the Germans can’t send their transport in the mediterranean to SZ13 to load the units in Algeria to take Madagascar. You have to load units in a seazone which is friendly/neutral at the beginning of the turn.

Actually, I WISH I had the flying Stukas.  I stupidly selected those IPC-sucking subs that do nothing but suck IPCs out of Germany!  :lol:  4 subs purchased x $8 a sub = a whole mess of land units I could use right about now.  :-P  Those subs did shave a fair amount of income from Britain and the U.S., but when you’re buying only 8 infantry a turn as Germany, it’s like your moving in slow motion or something.  Freaking Russia was going crazy in Europe because I had too little fodder to be aggressive (until recently, that is).

I think I’ll start a thread on NAs, come to think of it.

Sankt is correct.  The SUB may still chose to leave the SZ in COMBAT movement phase of their upcoming turn.  However, if the SUB does not combat mvoe out, then Comabt will occur with the new fleet.

And I still like the “logic” of not being able to blast away Parisian INF from the Normandy Coast; or Chicago National Guard Units from the Virginia coast…

Yeah, that is kinda wonky.  But no more so than some of the other abstractions the game makes.
