Chinese Plastic Pieces

Yup! Scale was perfect for the map…the infantry are too large to fit comfortably in Belorussia or West Russia, but they fit great in France, Italy, Africa, and China! Quality is 3.5/5 stars. Some of the infantry didn’t detach cleanly from the sprue, and the modeling is slightly chunky, but overall the pieces are durable, handsome, and clearly distinguishable.

Note that both the map and the saved game are missing the neutral units (including French & Dutch), because the WW2v5 map in TripleA doesn’t allow for neutral units, but this should still save you a lot of setup time if you’re interested in playtesting the 1939 scenario.

Just a suggestion, not promoting anything.  You could go check out the Historical Board Gaming site,  they might have a few things you’re looking for.  They pretty much have everything.

As you know in about a month HBG will be releasing it’s US Supplement Set with a real winning cast of units included:

P-40 Warhawk (early) Fighters, P-51 Mustang (Late) Fighters, C-46 Commando Transports, Airborne Parachute Infantry, M-3 Stuart Light Tanks, M-5 Priest S/P Artillery, M-10 Hellcat Tank Destroyers, Nevada “class” Battleships, Casablanca “class” Escort Carriers, Mack 2 1/2-ton Trucks, TBF Avenger Torpedo Bombers, and B-25 Mitchell Medium Bombers.  WOW!!!  This will be a GREAT Set.

The hisoricalboardgaming.com axis minor set looks really cool.  Some have proposed house rules for tank destroyers and the Stug or Hummel would be perfect for that (just like artillery but move 2 and cost 5).  You can get them in a few different colours too.

In the interest of historical nerdiness, you could use the “light” infantry as Finland troops and the “heavy” infantry as Bulgarian troops because they have Bulgarian helmets. You could use the 38t tanks as the ones that start out in Slovakia and Romania because it was a czech tank.  You could use the panzer IIIs as the other tanks that you start the game with, and then use the OOB panthers for future tank builds.  That’s really geeky but I am ordering s set!

I’m not sure about the other pieces (105 artillery, armoured car, halftrack, FW190) but they are fun to have I guess.

Yeees, Razor like. Butt iff WOTC did business that way, the stock holders will be poor. With lack of Tacs and Mechs we all need to purchase two copies each, and this will make mr. Leeds a very happy man.
