Problems with the 1.33 Patch

My computer is over 5 years old, has a Pentium III 1.0 GHz processor, 512mb of Ram, and an Intel 82815 Graphics card. I am running Windows Server 2003.  I have no problems running games like Hearts of Iron.  I think if you switch to XP you should be fine.

Welcome once again to my Faqs about How to Be… I see my other 2 ( Japan and Germany) were a hit. There is part 1 because this one is about how to beat Germany then one how to beat Japan. So here is the UK. US and USSR will take some time.
The UK has a big advantage on Germany because the UK can to a hard hit on Norway, Germany, Western Europe, Southern Europe, Algeria, and Libia. Also this will increase so much of Income it isnt funny.

Attack Norway. This will help in the long run. Attack Africa. This will stop the advancement of the Afrika Korps big time. This will also have an advantage on Southern Europe. Attack Southern Europe. Then you can start the “pinch” manuver. You have Norway and Southern Europe this will destroy Europe. Attack Western Europe. Read on to see what this will do. Attack Eastern Europe. This will do a 4-way pinch.
Leave Ukraine SSR to Russia. Attack Germany. You now win Germany with the help of Russia.

With transports and inf you can accomplish the same thing and do it cheaper. Buy an AC and then get 4-6 trans depending on your income. With this set up you can unload inf to Fin, Kar, EE, Ger, or WE - lots of territories for you to strike or reinforce, thus Germany must protect them all. Now if you need to get a couple inf to Afr, move your fleet south one (off the coast of Spain) and unload your troops into Alg. Now Ger also has to defend SE for a turn. Also, once you hit 6 trans you can send one down to the coast of FWA to reclaim it, and from there you can send it to South Africa. Germany doesn’t have the inf to defend all of Africa and with 1 tran and 2 inf you can reclaim a lot very easily.

I also like Zero’s approach. The Americans usually end up reinforcing the British in the south, while the Brits and Yanks drop infantry into Karelia (if indeed, the allies are strong there). This gives the Russians a chance to move some stuff east.

See here’s the deal: Germany could WASTE Russia in short order if there were no other players, right? But he/she can’t because the western Allies require Germany to spend some of her IPC’s to counter their threat, right? So USSR is free to spend a whole bunch of IPC’s just fighting Germany with Allied help, right?

That’s where YOU come in! It’s not japan’s task to “kill” USSR (though that is sometimes possible) only force USSR to SPLIT her meager funds to fight both you AND Germany! Meanwhile you can pound on UK and USA (the Western Allies) to pick at their assaults on Germany.

So…gain control of the Pacific. Don’t lose capital ships. Use a minimum of money holding off the Western Allies. Build (or capture) an Industrial Complex in Asia and put 3 ARM, 4 INF onto the Continent each turn. If you can keep this up, and move reasonably aggressively, you and Germany can win the game. Simple as that.

This is not the be-all, end-all of Axis strategy, only the beginning…
