Gears of War

I haven’t played this in a while. Maybe my group missed something. It always seemed to me thought that France could easily hold its coast while running over Austria and even Prussia if necessary and then slowly over power Russia since they are making so much money at that point. I always found that Britain’s only chance was to try to run through Spain and hopefully do it faster than France gets through Prussia and Austria, then kill France from both sides. However, it has been a while and my opponents tended to also make major mistakes so that could have lead to me finding this game very one sided.

Perhaps you should give the name of the game.

I am still looking for a really good Civil War map file. Does anyone have any leads?

I played through the first couple of levels for the Xbox 360. It’s not a bad FPS and the story line for the game is pretty good. However, it plays just like the Ghost Recon series on 360 and it really has not outstanding qualities that I saw. I personally would go with Rainbos Six Vegas 2, so far it’s much better.

It sounds awesome.  I’ll try and check it out and give it a go sometime.  I’d still like to get into Hearts of Iron more, but like I said, it takes a while to complete something.  The farthest I got was playing as Spain and basically carving France in half with Germany.  And we were just getting into 1940…

I’ve always found the history of the War card game quite interesting, especially when you compare it to Solitaire. I think both games have survived for so long because they are easy to learn and play, making them accessible to everyone, regardless of age or skill level.
