Hello My Name is John,
Used to play A&A alot, but does anyone know if they can get the old motcreations mapview to work for all the axis maps I had way back? I have those files but obviously it wont open.
thank you
I am guessing most here dont know what that isβ¦
@jamadar07 Welcome to the forum. While I know what you are talking about, those usually had rarely if ever been used by this community.
Currently people use TripleA to play online (by forum) (see https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/category/28/triplea-support).
Before that (about 15 years ago) we used ABattlemap to play online (by forum) (see https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/29899/a-tribute-to-abattlemap).
@Panther Hey thanks for info.
I was really hoping to get that old program to work because it was a nice option instead of setting up a real live board, which is more fun, but the Mapview version was just neat to me, but thx.
john

yrs back about that time someone made Advanced Axis and Allies Europe, and although I played the Europe , pacific and revised, this one just grabbed me so much more, that I had a map made for it, lot of fun.
Another pic,
Here is an original A&A that a Great Friend of mine had made a round map for maybe 30 yrs ago.
Greeting again gents,
I want to say thank you for the Triple A recommendation, I had no idea such a great program existed and with the addition of many playable maps. I loved mapview but it didnt have the play against PC option at all it was for your own games to play or by emeail. This is quite neat, so thanks for the suggestion.
I had the cdrom version and that was fun but limited to just that one map.
