2026 Classic Tournament
-
@dawgoneit I always play “by email” and post the saved game and the turn history. It doesn’t make any difference to the opponent who plays via forum.
-
Here’s a ‘how to’ video on PBEM/forum - nuts and bolts, no fluff. Straight to the point. Just in case you didn’t see it @hiijohnson

Hey everyone,
If you’d start your tournament games here in the tournament section, play by forum, it would be great because
- We can see how the games are progressing (or if they’ve even been started)
- Easy for players to peek in on others’ hot Classic games
We didn’t make it a rule, and I’m not going to apply pressure. So if you’re merrily playing by e-mail or in play boardgames or whatever you’re doing, not a big deal, just report in here when the game’s over.
Would be nice if at a minimum a save file at the end is posted, but also not required.
So for any future tournament game you start, please set it up here in the tournament forum. Lots of benefits, not really drawbacks. 🪖 ✈︎

@dawgoneit yeah - sorry that is mainly my fault. I hired another attorney and am training a sales guy so I will have time moving forward. I just need to figure out how to play by email.
Here is how you play by forum.
- Load the game (Classic League), can be downloaded via TripleA
- Click on Play By Forum

- Enter the fields. Here is the breakdown.
To: - Your MARTI dice email. (If you don’t have one, you should click on “Register” and register one.
Cc: - Your opponents dice email (you have to ask your opponent what it is)
Game Name: - descriptive name of the match (e.g. hiijohnson vs dawg, classic tournament 2026 1st round)
Forum: axisandallies.org (warning: default is triplea forum, that is not the right one
Topic ID: first you should create a topic on the site in the “Tournaments” section. Then, look at the link on top. You can see a bunch of numbers. Those are your Topic ID. For example, my game with Gamerman has the following link:
https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/42408/gamerman01-axis-14-vs-victoryfirst-allies-classic-2026-tournament-2nd-round
The ‘42408’ is our topic ID. It’s unique for every topic. Yours will be different.
Forum Username: your username on this forum, yours is hiijohnson
Forum Password: the password you use on this server. IMPORTANT: ALWAYS RE-ENTER YOUR PASSWORD WHEN LOADING A SAVE FILE, EVEN WHEN REMEMBER PASSWORD IS SELECTED
Now you have filled in all required fields, the rest is not necessary.
You just need to determine who plays which side and with which bid (if any). If you have chosen a bid, you should go to “Game Options” and enter the bid there. Also, check if the correct optional rules are enabled. Agree to the rule set this before the game starts.
Once everything is ready, you can click on “Play”, and do your turn. At the end of your turn, at the right of the screen you’ll see a window where you can click on “Post Turn Summary”. This will directly post a turn summary along with a save file to your game thread.
Hope this helps!

Quick question: Starting round 4, we can invest in some nice tech development. Is it correct that tech tokens are kept, in case you don’t role a 6?
-
Oh no, definitely no tokens
Have fun!
-
Oh no 🥺😅

@The_Good_Captain (Axis) has defeated @Darkpriorace (Allies) after 30+ round (longest game I’ve ever played)
-
@gamerman01 sorry, I forgot if I’m supposed to report here or elsewhere.
I just downloaded your excel to see if I knew who to play next. Do you know who we are to play next? Sorry, I’m ignorant of tournament structure (which is why I’m very glad you’re running this!) but I can learn / do better.
-
@The_Good_Captain All good! Here is good!
You and @elche can start any time,
Oh he had a bye, has he been around? Hopefully you can track him down.@Darkpriorace takes you 30+ rounds and so it’s fitting he runs through 2 byes in the loser’s bracket. He plays the winner of @Primigenius and the loser of winner’s bracket 9… see brackets… so that will be awhile, @Darkpriorace. Don’t go away.
