G40 - Bombing A Naval Base

Yes.

Generally speaking powers defend together. However in G40 there are powers that start off neutral (Russia and USA) or not at war with each other (like Japan and UK/France). You could have a case at sea when you attack a sz with units from multiple powers, and can ignore the units that belong to a power that you aren’t yet at war with.

But what happens if Allies spend most of their money on the Atlantic with only a few capital ships in the Pacific to join up with Anzac. The Atlantic money goes to transports and capital ships and then tanks and infantry. With England’s help, you hit Spain and Gibraltar  (for the naval base). Then every single turn the US can land more stuff and set up a nonstop funnel. If Russia does its job then axis should not be able to keep up on both fronts. If Germany sent its Dark Skies bombers to try to stop the funnel, then fine you can wipe each other out and still land more US troops the next turn.

What have you all experienced when trying this?

Yes, this is a good strategy.  The weak point is then the Germans blitz into the middle east, ignoring Moscow.  They can get an economic advantage and then just sit back and outbuild the allies.

Perhaps have Iraq and the Persian territories be treated as True Neutral, just give the UK and USSR extra units to make up the potential difference.

Someone needs to create a commercial for A&A that is like the “boom de yada” discovery channel commercials.

I’m looking for some G40 forum action.  Either side is fine by me.  I’m sharpening up my Allied skills, though currently having 3 games as the Allies on the go i wouldn’t mind being the Axis either.

OK I’m game.  I will try and take a poll about how repairs to air and naval bases should be handled.  Perhaps you and/or Manicellv can take a poll about paying IPCs for ship repairs since it was his/her idea.

I think there is a general dogfight and then surviving bombers and tac split up to attack their intended targets. Thus, it would be 2 ftrs, 4 tac, 2 bmrs vs 3 ftrs for 1 round.
