    @Ghostglider Axis used some unusual strategies in this game. G4 & J1 DOW, strong Kreigsmarine, naval take down of India. The J1 DOW is unusual only in BM of course. Were you gunning for the win in the Pacific? Hard to achieve unless USA abandons the Pacific. Personally, I’m not a fan of the Kwangtung IC. Out of the action, less importantly it can be taken by USA or even Anzac. I think Kiangsu is much better and should be J1 even though it is the same distance from India. Mobile units produced there can reach in 3 turns so only 1 round of production needed for India, rest for fighting China.

    The Allied sticky landing on Greece was interesting. Grabbed the Axis’ airbase which is a nice bonus. Always a danger with building the Greece airbase but I often do so.


  • @simon33 I think the carrier buy set ghostglider back and might be where the game was won. The naval trade he made there wasn’t worth losing the german fast movers he could have bought and it meant I could stop him for a while at Bryansk. The G4 Dow was in that circumstance, probably the better choice. Had he done a G3, he would have just gotten stuck earlier and lost out on some income.

    I was worried at first about the J1. I had looked at Ghostglider’s recent axis games and didn’t see him doing that. And because of the G1 moves, the US had to spend less on the pacific than I normally would early. But I managed to recover. Some better dice mid game helped me out as well. .
