Global 1942 (Larry Harris version): SuperbattleshipYamato (Allies) vs FranceNeedsMorePower (Axis)

I didn’t think the Axis could be so challenging in 1942. I guess the game’s less imbalanced than I thought.
-
@SuperbattleshipYamato Yeah I’m not sure how long ago but people realized the game is not that imbalanced. It’s a bit more balanced then Global 40 But favors the Allies. Personally I feel people hated on it because it has a few historical flaws. But the game is not supposed to be a G42 setup. It’s supposed to be a Global game based off of the 1942 SE game. If that makes sense. That’s what Larry said at least. Now this is my first time playing the Axis so just imagine that the game is way more balanced with a player actually good as the Axis.
-
-
That makes sense.
I just think this way because the first two times I played this game I found the Axis at a huge disadvantage with almost no plausible way to win.
Your play is making me rethink that.

I’ll admit: If it wasn’t for the dice you’ll probably be winning.
Net Allies dice swing: +7.23 swing
Net Axis dice swing: -7.23 swing -
@SuperbattleshipYamato Seems like triple a felt bad for you for the 1914 odds. If you understand what I mean. But do you see how the Axis clearly have chance of victory. Normally Japan wins the game and Germany holds the fort down long enough for Japan to get victory on their side. If you ever get free time you may be interested in this G42 series. They are a bit long so if you have nothing to watch you could watch this. If your not interested no worries. But if you are watch them in order.

@SuperbattleshipYamato Do you want to scramble for the two battles? IDontLikeBadDiceWhenItsMyDiceImRolling.tsvg

@SuperbattleshipYamato I should explain the videos. This is the final round at GenCon 2024 I believe. It really shows the Axis have a great chance at victory. I don’t understand why people say it’s in-balanced. It is a bit but not that much.
-
Yeah.
To be honest it may be because the dynamic of most games are flipped. Usually it’s Germany who carries the burden of winning the game while Japan distracts the Allies. It’s nice to see Japan be the main Axis power for a change.
-
Scramble everything from India.
Scramble 2 ANZAC fighters and the American fighter from Hawaii.
-
@SuperbattleshipYamato The Anzac have Brazil? I have never seen that :)
-
@SuperbattleshipYamato Your turn. How are the odds going?JapanTurnDone.tsvg
-
You didn’t scramble the American fighter in Hawaii. You should’ve scrambled a total of 3 fighters from Hawaii, not 2.
You’ll have to redo the Hawaii battle.
-
Yeah, it’s actually a really short route.
-
@SuperbattleshipYamato Oops sorry did not see your message. So I will keep the Indian battle and just use edit for the outcome but re do hawwi battle got it. I always see the AI hope around that area. I just don’t see any point of Having Anzac units in Europe.

Works for me!
