Thanks @VictoryFirst , it’s our loss that we can’t play with you for awhile.
Thanks for the go ahead on the G40, and don’t worry about the tournament because the other guys were cool
I wish the best to you, and will be great when you come back
OK, I’ll be in play by forum mode and save at the end of Russia2. Then I’ll open it up again to make sure you will be in play by forum mode. I’ll plan to just e-mail the file to your address, and maybe notify you here in the thread, too. We just have to figure out the method and then it will be fine!
This file is local, for onlookers only
Play by Forum file e-mailed to @leemorrison
@gamerman01 hello again.
I have several emails, including the local map dl
but no email with the forum link sigh
You would have received MARTI e-mails for dice rolls
You should have received my email with an attachment ending in 2rus.tsvg.
I just downloaded what I sent you, started up Triple A, clicked play by forum, then opened the exact same file I gave to you and it is fully completed including the e-mail addresses at the top and would be ready to play.
If we still can’t get it, I ask you to reconsider playing by forum normally, where it is possible for someone to open the file and see your address.
If that makes you nervous, there is another route. You can sign up a different e-mail address with MARTI and we can use that one. An e-mail address that you don’t care if someone sees. You can sign up for a new e-mail address for gaming purposes, perhaps at yahoo.com
I’m trying, friend!!
@gamerman01 Great idea, however, UGH technology
I have created tilljeff@outlook.com Tested and receiving email
I have changed my account to this email address, twice.
Both times the link to confirm the change goes to an invalid web page----once again UGH!
“Not Found
You seem to have stumbled upon a page that does not exist.”
@leemorrison that is tillsjeff@outlook.com my keyboard sticks, but I did get the email to try and confirm
I think I should post:
@leemorrison and I have struggled mightily and tried various ways to successfully play by forum but leemorrison has had enough, too frustrating, too time consuming. Leemorrison doesn’t want his e-mail address to be exposed due to a terrible experience with identity theft in the past, and we were unsuccessful setting up a new address.
We’re playing in local mode with no MARTI verifications, so gentlemen’s game, honor system.
What was I thinking. We’ll roll dice on forum.
Egypt
INF, FTR, BMB vs INF
[dice 1d6=1]
[dice 1d6<=3]
[dice 1d6<=4]
1d6<=3: 2; Hits: 1
1d6<=4: 5; Hits: 0
I tried 1d6=1 for the attacking infantry and that doesn’t work.
Fighter scored hit, so rolling defense
[dice 1d6<=2]
1d6<=2: 3; Hits: 0
West Spain,
2 FTR v 1 SS
[dice 2d6<=3]
2d6<=3: 3, 2; Hits: 2
So perfect luck with UK again…
West Spain SS sunk, Egypt taken without loss
So here’s our best option if you can’t get an e-mail registered and play using MARTI,
(I couldn’t even get your original address to verify using “test server” tonight)
We play in local. We have to roll dice on the forum, which isn’t too bad if you know how.
The format is {dice Xd6<=Y}
Where “X” in “Xd6” is the number of dice you are rolling for the same number.
Y is the attack or defense value
It made it a square.
Use [ abcdef ]
brackets
So to roll 5 attacking infantry, 3 tanks, 4 fighters, and 2 bombers, you would type
dice 5d6<=1
dice 7d6<=3
dice 2d6<=4
With brackets around each “command”
You do the same way for defense, of course.
Now you could roll it like we were playing face to face, if you like! That is, a throw for all infantry, see the results. Then a throw for tanks, see the results. Of course you can roll them all at once if you want.
