Now the question becomes: does Triple A allow Russia to declare war on Germany at the beginning of Rd 3. I’ll have to go back and see. It should allow them to declare war on Germany once Italy attacked the Rd before.

Japan is ridiculously strong (but then is on 1940 too).
Germany can be held a while and Italy should not grow at all, but the U.S. must invest nearly all its income in the Pacific.
Still makes a refreshing change from 1940 though.

My Europe has much improved over time.

I bumped my strategy guides for you. Take a look at them. Try those opening moves out and you will see how quickly the axis can catch up and overtake the allies in income.

In fact the allies start at a huge disadvantage. The allies look like they have all this stuff… but if you take away all the buildings, you will realize that unit wise… the game is even… except the axis have a huge position advantage and the axis start off destroying pretty much everything in sight.

Axis win most global games.

Honestly, the Pacific is fine. It is europe that is boring and that is because Russia does not make enough money and it does not have an incentive to attack anything. In fact Russia has more of an incentive to help out in the Pacific or to take original axis territories in africa/middle east… than it does fighting in Europe. It is pretty stupid if you ask me.

Japan can make the pacific boring if it wants to… which sucks the fun out of global and it is usually an inferior strategy unless Germany makes something big happen.

There is a major IC in Paris. This isnt possible with A2 rules. Captured Major IC turn into a small one.

Really.  I didn’t see that one in the rules I downloaded.   No Majors in non native territory can be built.  but France falls to a minor?  Didn’t see that one at all.

Holy crap your right.  I guess it only mattered for France since Britian did not fall  or russia. Not sure if we placed that many forces there anyway.  Because the Germans did not build that many forces there throughout the game.  The italians moved troops in,  well maybe before berlin fell late in the game the Axis player on turn 9 may have built more forces there,  but largely he used the Italians to defend western Europe and built germans in West germany to defend Denmark.

Ultimately I don’t think it impacted our game or its outcome,  but will note that for the future!!!

Japan should be able of taking India mid-game (let’s say round 5-7), but never as soon as round 1-3, as usual in AA50-42. Also, this thread is about a 1942 mod for AAG40, not for the OOB setup, that it’s still undecided if it has advantage or how many advantage could have

Also, with this order, ANZAC cannot act as can opener for USA against Japan, and that’s a very big aid for axis (and if you’re trying ignore Japan as allies, you’re totally toasted in AAG40, specially with this mod)
