    I know you are busy and I know how impossible it can be to find time to do turns, however since we are a bottleneck in a tournament, perhaps it is possible to make this game a priority. Even though I am super busy as well, I can still play very quickly if I want to, by spending the little free-time I have on a specific game. I just can’t keep up with ALL the games. If you can do so too that would be great. Which is a kind suggestion, no order! The most important thing is to have fun, of course.


  • Yes, I’m prioritizing this game along with my G40 playoff game, and I didn’t play any of them this weekend.

    I’m not sure what to say, because you’re a super nice guy.

    Whether it was you or elche, in my view this game is only a bottleneck because your previous game took so long.

    It’ll probably go fast once we get rolling past round 1, and Classic games seem to go pretty quick, especially if the dice get assertive

    @gamerman01 I am sorry if I sounded harsh. That has not been my intention. The thing I wanted to say was difficult to word without having a somewhat negative tone. If this was a regular game I wouldn’t have cared at all how long it would take.

    I think the main reason why this is a bottleneck is because of my long hiatus. When Ragnell reached the finals, my game with Elche hadn’t even started.

    So I am not blaming you for this being a bottle-neck because that is 100% caused by me. I just wanted to make up for my absence by playing very quickly in this tournament from now on.

  • @The_Good_Captain Rule question, please
    I looked and looked and used AI too and couldn’t find the answer to this question -

    Is my move of loading an infantry from Japan on J1 and sending that transport into battle at Hawaii legal, since the infantry was not unloaded on amphibious assault? It looks to me like it’s legal because the move ended in combat for the transport, but you definitely can’t do this in G40. But there is an explicit rule in G40 and I couldn’t find it for Classic.

    In my case I went ahead since we wanted to keep the game moving and it really wasn’t going to make much difference since in only an extreme dice result would I take the transport off, so effectively was moving it in during noncombat move…

    Is an important distinction, so I need to know for the future - - and maybe someone else reading this will find it helpful as well - thanks!!!

    If the question is, “Can a loaded transport move in the combat movement phase without unloading into an amphibious combat?” the answer is yes.

    Transports in this version are a combat unit with a hit value, a defense value and an attack value. In global, they are something entirely different.

    This example won’t be explicitly stated since it’s subsumed in the general rules of naval combat.

    Interestingly, moves that are made during the combat move that don’t result in combat are technically not allowed in classic.

    But my question was not clear enough!

    Question is “can a transport PICK UP LAND unit in the combat movement phase and take it into combat at sea without a declared amphibious assault.”?

    Seemed answer was yes and that’s why I went ahead and did it, but is important to know the answer for sure, so thanks once more!!!
