I grew up in Worthington playing aa with friends and nowadays live in Grove City where I mostly play against myself. When my buddy’s and I do get together (rarely) we talk of all the newer versions, rules, country’s, etc., and although the newer versions are available options for us, we just play the original version. So if you are still playing and or looking to play again, hit me up and hopefully we can get a game in! Like the topic says - looking for players (Axis and Allies or other War Games) in Vancouver.
I’m in a couple of gaming groups, but they are mostly focused on other types of games (like worker placement). I play war games with some of these people but I’m looking for more players interested in war games (which I’d play almost exclusively if possible)Regarding A&A I’ve played 1941 and 1942 second edition, and I’m sure I could easily learn the rules for other versions.
For non-A&A, I have, and love playing, games like Samurai Swords (aka Shogun or Ikusa), War of the Ring, Twilight Imperium, Risk 2210, Risk Europe, and the old “Zargo’s Lords”. I’d also be interested in learning or playing other war games. -
