True.
Anzac factory Brasil
-
Has anyone ever send its Anzac transport to Brasil, and built a factory there?
Can you built a minor there? -
@Cornwallis Never done it. But Brazil is worth 2 IPCs, so if the ANZACs have the money, they could buy a factory.
That said, not sure of the value added…The Americans can dominate the Atlantic if they desire, and the ANZACs need to focus on the south pacific. Shipping lots of resources to the Atlantic seems like a recipe for invasion. Perhaps if the US is strong in the Pacific, then you can send units to the Atlantic. But seems like the US is better situated to do that in the first place, rather than spending several turns to get a transport to Brazil.

@surfer i would do it so to have an Ally that plays between Italy and Germany.
Second it can maybe allow US to focus less on Germany in a KJF strategy. If Anzac buys some subs there every turn to start convoying Italy/ger or just a tpt to battle gibraltar and maybe north africa. It´s not the first or best strategy but maybe someone has had succes with this type of move?

Usually one tries to limit the ‘supply chain’ length in terms of moves, as moves equal time.
Having said that, are you considering turn 1 ANZAC sending a transport with one infantry toward Brazil? In that case, any production by Brazil won’t occur until T4, two turns to land, one turn to build factory, one turn to build units. At this point, subs are actually getting to Gibralter on T5, one turn after US subs could be there.
Given you mentioned KJF, I would keep ANZAC resources in the Pacific and support the US by assualting the money islands and if able, reinforcing US captured territories. Whatever subs you want to send against Italy, the US could produce instead, and do so a turn faster.
Even without the factory, the long term value in ANZAC capturing Brazil is unclear. 2 IPC gain is just as well used by US. Any additional infantry from ANZAC Brazil are so far out of position they will not make any timely impact in the Pacific or even slow marching through Africa.
Would be curious to see a demonstration of how you would play this out. Give it a go and let us know what advantage you find!

Hi.
I can’t see how it could work (income loss for Anzac and the US Pacific ), if you are playing a Japanese player who is worth his salt.
Anzac’s small income is a useful aid to America , fighting the IJN. -
@SeaYa i don´t know if it would work. That´s why i asked if anyone had done this.
Anzac taking persia is something i´ve done and which is fun. Especially when India has fallen. -
@Witt me neither but perhaps i might have overlooked some variant of this idea.

Imo its best to keep anzac home, they got a factory and so they can capture and contest money islands which keeps japan busy.
This leaves the US free to build combat units to attack the japanese fleet and clear a path for the anzac transports to be annoying.
You can place 3 units with anzac and have them attack the round after. Neither Japan or USA can do that. And UK-Pac is better served buying land only and assisting china and staying alive
