As Allies I would building subs and destroyers with US and start convoying germany in the Atlantic and start going into the Med and harass italy.

In pacific as well start to convoy money islands with anzac. So let them buy subs. US there need to provide transports to take a money island.

UK in middle east needs to pump out men. Abandon India and delay their move to Persia as long as possible. DO not stand and die in India. Built mechs in persia or egypt and South Africa.

@LewisClark The UK is split into two economies, not two powers. The UK player, if I understand your predicament correctly, can still move ALL their pieces on both sides of the board. They simply cannot purchase/collect income on the Europe side. There is no Europe/Pacific control of the pieces as all UK pieces are moved at the same time since they share a turn.

A lot of Axis players do this, but I see it as a good development if I’m allies. Any left over French units could be annoying in the early rounds. You have to be sure you can counter France if they take it and get the bonus infantry.

Axis won’t get the +2. Just holding Normandy for 3 turns is 2 more infantry. Axis will need a larger force in France than otherwise to prevent Allies from getting a foothold because USA will be able land their planes in Normandy right off the bat. If you don’t contest the allied landing in Normandy, Allies will be able to trade for Southern France.

A combined Italian-German stack in Normandy is strategically preferable to a stack in France, provided you have the manpower.

If USA could concentrate all its resources on the Atlantic front it would be a different story. But dual victory conditions means that if USA invests enough to make Germany pay for taking Normandy, then they likely didn’t invest enough in the Pacific to stop Japan.

You could always house rule “backup capitals”

After playing G36, what are the motives to go back down the simplicity scale?  Time?  Pure complexity?  Players?

it says “and/or” and it is the most common way to phrase such a requirements in games.

for basic gramar;
a, b and c = a and b and c;
a,b or c = a or b or c;
a and/or b = means if you have a and b, its ok, if you have a, its ok, if you have b, its ok.
same way you can make a list.

That was removed in the errata.

Just build 3 units?  If I own any of the French complexes I might buy more.  I also would probably dump money into upgrading the minor complex in east germany since the west german complex is damaged by the takeover (in global anyways.)
