    Round Six: Round 6
    Red from main base rattler flies and lands on AC and two troopers go onto C that has also return to main base. From NP base 2 troopers go onto ice hex, and, from 2 VP island C takes 2 troopers to reinforce Black’s 1VP hex N. Greenland. Along with Fighter- Bomber landing there.

    Two Wolf units attack and for no lost destroys a Snow Cat on coastal 1VP hex. Builds C and two troopers main base. And one trooper for NP base. There will be a major battle when Blue tries to take its 1VP island tween the Red and Blue main bases.

    Blue sends three Snow Cats to reinforce White’s N. Greenland 1 VP hex, also from Apogee base C picks up 2 troopers from 1 VP island and returns to Apogee Base, Along with 2 troopers going by coastal hex, to join up with the three Snow Cats.

    Two troopers move onto ice hex heading for Red’s undefended1VP island, tween Red and Blue main bases.

    Blue builds 2 C and a Snow Cat for main base.


  • Black sends from ice hex a trooper to its 1VP N. Greenland hex, while from NP base 3 troopers move onto ice hex. From 1VP hex a trooper and 2 Wolf units move onto ice hex. Also from main base a C drops off a trooper onto same ice hex.

    Builds for main base a Rattler and a trooper & Wolf unit for NP base.

    White lands from main base a trooper and Snow Cat onto ice hex, with 3 additional troopers attacking from 1 VP hex, that touches the ice hex. The hex is defended by Black 2 troopers and 2 Wolf units. All Black units are lost, White loses 3 troopers and a Snow Cat. C off Greenland picks up 2 troopers on 1 VP island off NP base.

    From Apogee base 2 troopers(using special ability) & Snow Cat reinforce N. Greenland 1 VP hex, along with VTOL jet from nearby C. From Apogee Base Heavy Bomber, fails to use Sleuth ability, uses BlockBuster bomb, and, sinks Red C off Black 1VP N. Greenland hex(the bomber is lost also).

    Builds for Apogee Base 4 Snow Cats and 2 troopers.

    Both sides are tied each at 7VP!


  • Round 7:

    Red moves C and lands 2 troopers with 2 Wolf units attacking from 1VP land hex, against 2 Blue troopers on ice hex. Hex taken for lost of one trooper. Also Heavy Bomber attacks, using Sleuth ability, from Black’s 1VP N. Greenland hex, and, takes out a C(with BlockBuster bomb)at Blue Main Base. Flies back to 2VP island, along with a Rattler from a AC landing there too.

    From NP base, a trooper goes onto ice hex. Builds Rattler & trooper and Wolf unit for main & NP base.


  • Blue sends a C and lands 2 troopers on coastal hex, below Blacks’ N. Greenland 1VP hex. Two more troopers arrive at White’s N. Greenland 1 VP hex. From same hex, three Snow Cats attack Black hex, versus 5 troopers, wolf unit, and, Rattler. All lost, but, 2 troopers taken out.

    Meanwhile with only one available C, they can only land at Red 2 or 1 VP island. They land on the 2 pt. Island, defended by Heavy Bomber and a jet. The island is taken for a lost of a trooper and a C( latter chosen cause a C could not claim the hex).

    Also from main base, a AC with two jets and a fighter-bomber, attack a AC and a C at the 1VP Red island hex… All lost but a Blue jet and fighter-bomber that returns to main base.

    Builds a Jet and 2 Snow Cats for Apogee Base.


  • Black is in a quandary problem, it needs to recover 2VP to just be even with Joe. The most they can do, is get one VP, or, hunker down and make it hard for Joe to pick up any more VP. A rattler flies from a 1VP hex, next to the ice hex, , and takes out a White trooper(who can use special ability and take over a undefended hex). The Rattler is lost, but, the trooper is taken out, thus the 1VP hex is saved. Also C heads back to Black main base.

    Moves 3 troopers to Black N.Greenland hex, from ice hex. Also one trooper from NP base to ice hex. Builds 4 & 3 troopers for NP and main base.


  • White C lands 2 troopers on he next to NP base, while another C returns to home base. From Apogee Base 2 troopers,&, 4 Snow Cats, &, VTOL Jet from N. Greenland hex, attack Black 1 VP N. Greenland hex. All White units are lost, but, 5 Black troopers are taken out. Now some forces from nearby White 1VP N. Greenland hex, attack. Two troopers & 2 Snow Cats take out the remaining Black trooper, Wolf unit, and, Rattler(for a lost of a troop

    The remaining unused forces of White 4 troopers and Snow Cat attack ice hex defended by 1 Black and 4 Red troopers. The ice hex taken, but, only a Snow Cat survive. White builds 5 troopers & 2 Snow Cats and 3 troopers for main base.

    No use of either side using the “Sour Grapes” Missiles.

    Joe Wins!

    End of Round 7, Cobra has 5 VP & Joe has 10. No forces have a AC, 3 C and 2 C for Joe and Cobra, 8 Snow Cat and 2 Wolf units left, 2 Jets and Fighter-Bomber and VTOL Jet for Joe, 19 troopers and 10 troopers left for Joe and Cobra.IMG_4410.jpeg


  • Next and last scenario, the winner is decided by who controls Northern Greenland. Going back to The Great War, I’m going to let both sides Joe & Cobra buildup forces , and, attack and defend for only the last three rounds.

    One last great push to take those Northern Hexes and win the game!


  • The Hot Spot Game Three:

    New Game: The first four rounds are building supplies and manpower for a massive assault for Round Five, a “One Big Push” to win control of a needed N.Greenland 1 VP Hex to win the Arctic game(each side already controls one). 
    

    A desperate attack and a equally desperate defense. The pictures are of the setups, with the auxiliary units, and, using Pennies as one counters( as needed nickel and dimes can be used as 5 & 10 counters). Also no hex limits, Snow Cats, Wolf units, and, C can defend on three.

  • Round Five: Red forces from main base occupy island tween Red and Blue Main Base. A.C. from NP base leaves with only 1 Rattler to go to same island, beforehand Rattler from main Red base lands on AC. Another Wolf unit joins forces going overland to Blue Main Bae of Wolf unit and Recon unit and a trooper.

    Had built a ice hex, that connects island with another ice hex, leading to Blue Main Base.

    Meanwhile a two prong attack of first Red from NP base, &, ice hex, attacking White’s N. Greenland 1VP hex.

    Attacking Red forces are 9 troopers, 4 Wolf units(to speed play up, I am House ruling that every Wolf/Snow Cat unit increases a trooper attack ability to two, a Rattler and a Hover Copter, versus, 12 White & 2 Blue troopers, 2 Snow Cats for each color, White Jet & Hover Copter.

    All Red forces wiped out and 9 White troopers lost. Using special ability Red Rattler from AC takes out a Jet from Blue AC(the Rattler is also lost). It is up to Black to take that hex. Builds 4 & 2 troopers for NP and main base.


  • Blue sends 4 troopers to reinforce White’s hold on N. Greenland, C leaves Apogee base going upwards Greenland coast.

    Meanwhile fleet moves towards Red Fleet off its island. A attack submarine, AC with a jet, 2 C(and three troopers), &, Fighter- Bomber versus Red Fleet of Diesel Submarine, AC with a Rattler, 2 C, and, Fighter Bomber. Note Fighter- Bombers are in the air and come from land bases, they are not on the AC(also both Fighters-Bombers activated Sleuth ability).

    Only a Blue Jet & C with two troopers landed, on Red island defended by 4 troopers. All Blue troopers lost, with one Red troopers destroyed. Jet flies back to main base, with Recon unit with trooper and Snow Cat coming upwards ice hexes, with additional trooper behind.

    Builds C and 3 troopers for main base, and, 2 troopers for Apogee Base.
