    Round One: Red already spent funds to place an ice hex that connects NP base to Northern Greenland. Two troopers go onto the ice hex, and, C lands two troopers onto 1 VP hex on Northern Greenland. Meanwhile the 12 troopers at Red Base, are just stuck there. Due to initial size of garrisons at NP base, Red cannot place any new units.
    Blue from Apogee base sends two Troopers to hex right next to landed Red troopers. From Blue Base lands from a C, two Troopers on coastal hex, below same Red troopers. Places new 6 Troopers on Apogee Base and 2 onto Blue Base.

    Black funded an ice hex to built a bridge to connect Black base to White Base. Six troopers enter the ice hex, that connects NP Base to Northern Greenland. Meanwhile from NP base a C and Rattler goes North to protect the ice bridge going to White Base. Also 7 troopers go onto the ice bridge, where the Rattler has landed. Builds 5 more troopers at NP base.
    White using special ability rushes 6 Troopers to Northern Greenland remaining 1 VP hex, blocking Cobra’s southern advance. White C leaves White Base and sinks Black C, that was protecting the ice bridge. Had built 6 Troopers at Apogee Base and 3 at White Base.
    Round Two: Off Greenland Red C attacks Blue C and is lost, but, 2 Red troopers attack 2 Blue Troopers and wipe them out. For no lost in the same hex, while Rattler from NP base lands in 1VP hex. Red cannot built due to stacking limits on bases. Earlier had built an ice hex above White 1 VP Base in Northern Greenland.
    Blue moves 6 Troopers to hex, where already 2 Blue troopers attacked 2 Red troopers in nearby hex( both lost along with a Red trooper). Blue C goes to Blue Base to pick up 2 Troopers. Had already built 6 Troopers for Apogee Base.
    Black builds another ice hex for its bridge to connect Black to White Base. Rattler lands on new ice hex and 7 troopers move into it, From ice hex down south, 6 troopers attack 6 white troopers on their 1 VP hex in Northern Greenland. Lost all Black troopers and 4 White Troopers. Meanwhile 8 Troopers have enter ice hex towards Greenland. Place new 4 troopers on NP base.
    White retreats C back to White Base, when another ice hex is built, will attack it with air support. From Apogee Base using special ability attacks Red 1 VP Base on Northern Greenland. Six Troopers attack Red Rattler, one trooper is lost to destroy it, base captured. Had built a Trooper for White Base and 6 Troopers for Apogee Base.
    Round Three: Red builds C at Red base & 3 troopers at NP base. Red trooper uses special ability to take out a Blue Trooper next to a Coastal Red trooper in E. Greenland.
    Blue C with 2 Troopers land them on 2VP Island below NP Base, along with a Jet. Blue Trooper takes over undefended Red coastal Greenland hex. 3 Troopers join White Troopers in N. Greenland, with 7 Troopers leave Apogee Base to go to N. Greenland. Builds at Apogee Base 6 Troopers.
    Black builds ice hex above White Base, moving up are 7 troopers & Rattler, 8 troopers, and, 8 more Black troopers(snaking along the ice bridge). From ice hex, connecting NP Base to Northern Greenland 8 troopers attack White 2 Troopers in 1VP hex in Northern Greenland. Lost 5 troopers to take out 2 White Troopers. Meanwhile 8 troopers entered ice hex from NP base. Builds C $ 4 troopers at NP base.
    White uses special ability to move 8 Troopers to attack 3 Black troopers in Northern Greenland. Lost 3 Troopers to take out 3 Black troopers, hex 1VP retaken. All of Greenland is Cobra Free.
    White Base sends 10 Troopers and Jet to attack 7 Black troopers and Rattler in hex, above White Base. For lost of 4 White troopers, all of Black is destroyed. Jet flies back to White Base. Earlier C destroyed ice hex, that connected to land, above White Base. Builds 8 Troopers for White Base, and, for Apogee Base 3 Troopers.

  • Round 4: Red trying to alleviate pressure on the NP base, moves from Red base a C with two troopers and takes over 1 VP island, two hexes from Blue Base. Having built on NP base a Rattler and two troopers.
    Blue moves troopers from N. Greenland & C with 2 Troopers and Jet from two hexes away from a 2 VP island. 10 Troopers(2 landed by a C) and a Jet versus 🆚 8 Black troopers. All Black forces lost, while Blue suffered heavy losses of 8 Troopers. Blue had built for Apogee Base 9 Troopers.
    Black from NP base sends 5 troopers onto ice hex that connects to Greenland, that has 2 Blue troopers. For a lost of three troopers, the 2 Blue Troopers are destroyed. Meanwhile a trooper from NP base goes to hex below it, and, a C attacks the Greenland hex with a 1 VP. C versus 🆚 Blue C and Jet. Both C lost.
    Meanwhile an ice hex was made two hexes South from White Base, 7 troopers move onto it, while 8 troopers occupy the ice hex( the 7 troopers were on). Black had built a Rattler for the Black base, &, trooper for NP Base.
    White pours onto ice hex, that connects NP base to Greenland 8 Troopers. Five from a 1VP hex in Northern Greenland and another three Troopers (latter using special ability from the hex below the 1 VP hex). All 2 Black troopers are lost for no losses for White.
    Meanwhile from Apogee Base, using special ability, three Troopers go to 1VP hex, where a Blue Jet is located.
    At hex South of White Base 6 troopers and a Jet, attack ice hex with 7 Black troopers. All white Troopers are lost, while 5 Black troopers are lost. Four Troopers move from White Base to hex where the attack originated(also where Jet landed). Had built for White Base a C and three troopers, &, three troopers for Apogee Base.
    The famous fog/rush into combat, those 4 Troopers could have joined in the attack on the ice hex, using their special ability!


  • Round Five: Red moves C & 1 trooper from 1VP island, to undefended Blue 2 VP Island. Had built 6 troopers for NP Base. Still has 10 troopers at Red base gathering dust.
    Blue moves 8 troopers from Apogee Base towards NP base, Blue Jet attacks Red C off Red 2 VP island hex, C is destroyed. Jet lands on ice hex. Still has 7 Troopers at Blue Base, never seen any combat. Had built a C at Blue Base, seven Troopers at Apogee Base.
    Black moves 7 troopers to ice hex( that already has two troopers) and flies in Rattler from Black base. Also retreats trooper back into NP base. Builds 6 troopers for NP base.
    White moves 6 Troopers from White 1 VP hex, and, another 3 Troopers are following those Troopers(using special ability). Cannot wait for more infantry, 9 Troopers attack NP Base. Versus 10 defending troopers(1 is Black) and Red Rattler. Losses all White and 1 Black & 4 Red troopers.
    Meanwhile 3 more Troopers arrive at ice hex and another 3 arrive from Blue 1 VP hex, from N. Greenland.
    Finally at White Base C fail to destroy ice hex, so it lands 2 Troopers on it, along with 7 more Troopers attacking(using special movement ability) & fighter from White Base. Versus 9 Black troopers and a Rattler. The ice hex is captured, all Black wiped out, for a lost of 6 White Troopers. Had built for White Base 4 Troopers and 5 troopers for Apogee Base.


  • Of course this begs for a “Cottage Industry”, a few 3-D printers could produce at a comfortable scale, minis that players would want.

    They could come in say green for US forces, gray for USN ships, light green for USMC, and, so forth.

    Fancier sets would come painted, or, better manufacture materials for the units.

    Add a baseball style card for each unit. Also copyrighted of the units is long since past. I doubt the USN is going to complain of a unit based on the Missouri Battlewagon.

  • Round Six: Red using special ability to destroy on ice hex that connects N.Greenland to N.P. Base, thus a Rattler lost to take out a Blue Jet. Meanwhile six troopers attack 5 of White troopers on ice hex, all are lost.
    Having already built a C and rattler for Red Base.
    Blue moves from Blue Base a C with two troopers, landed on island 1 VP NE. of Blue Base, defended by a Red trooper. Island taken for no lost.
    Meanwhile 2 Troopers move onto that ice hex, that connects to NP Base. While 5 more Troopers leave Apogee base, heading for NP base. Having built a Jet and 2 Troopers for Blue Base. Along with 3 more troopers for Apogee Base.
    Black trooper attacks from one ice to another ice hex, holding 4 White Troopers. Losses are one each side. Already built for near having no defensive Black base, a C and 2 troopers.
    From NP base 6 trooped attack 2 Blue Troopers on connecting ice hex to Greenland. Takes the ice hex, with lost of one trooper.
    White uses special ability to move 3 Troopers across ice hex bridge to outside of Black base. Also C from White Base lands 2 more Troopers on same area, while 2 Troopers from White Base moves towards Black Base( vía ice hexes bridge).
    Meanwhile 5 Troopers are heading to N. Greenland from Apogee Base. Having built a Jet and 2 Troopers for Apogee Base, and, 1 Trooper for White Base.
    Round 7: Red knows the greatest threat to NP base, is lack of a good defense in it, but, Joe forces will never be able to land and take it, for Round 7. Here using special ability from Red base Rattler attacks and takes out Blue C, on hex with 1 VP island midway tween Red and Blue Base.
    Even with the lost of air power, Red C lands 2 troopers onto island, defended by 2 Blue troopers. Island retaken for no losses.
    Having built 6 troopers for NP base.
    Blue has 5 and a group of 3 Troopers heading for ice hex, that connects to NP base from N.Greenland. Builds C for Blue Base and 5 Troopers for Apogee Base.
    Black destroys ice hex that connects to Black base. Four White Troopers retreat to ice hex behind them. Builds a rattler for Black base and trooper for NP base.
    White C attacks Black C, both are lost. From Northern Greenland 1 VP hex, 5 Troopers enter ice hex, defended by 6 Black troopers( also a White Jet from Apogee Base flies in). All lost but for 1 Black trooper on ice hex. Already built 4 Troopers for Apogee Base and 5 for White Base.


  • Hi, been away for a month, had to visit the lower 48, along with a V.A. visit.

    Plan to speed up play, by just recording a round by round summation, rather each sides play by play movement, thanks, Pellulo


  • Next scenario the use of mostly land type APCs, with a symbolic air, navy, and troopers for combine arms. Also the use of Ice Bridges in order to have combat, which could backfire for a losing side. Especially the connection from Main Polar Cobra Base to Joe Greenland.


  • Scenario Two: Land Base Snow Cat & Wolf predominant units.

    Cobra Commander(Red) Round One. Having built another ice bridge, allowing forces to move nearer from main Red Base to main Blue Base. C brings 2 more Wolf units from NP Base to 1 VP island, near main Blue Base. Rattler joins lone Wolf closes to main Blue Base. Meanwhile 2 Wolf units via ice bridge, engage 2 Joe Snow Cat station in Northern Greenland. All lost. Having built 2 Wolf units at main Red Base.

    Admiral Haul(Blue) Round 1. C lands 2 Snow Cats with Fighter cover, on hex closes to Main Blue Base. Losses one Snow Cat and Red Wolf and Rattler.

    Meanwhile another Snow Cat lost destroying Black Rattler on ice bridge connecting Greenland and NP Base. Places new Wolf at Apogee and two at Main Blue Base. Using Special Ability at hex that has a C in it.

    Destro ( Black) does Round One. Moves C with trooper past Main Black Base, to join 2 Wolf units just off ice bridge.

    From NP Base two and one Wolf units take over two 1 VP hexes on Northern Greenland. Built three Wolf units at NP Base.

    Snow Job ( White) does Round One. Four Snow Cats with Fighter attack hex via ice bridge, holding Black trooper and 3 Wolfs units with C offshore. For a lost of two Snow Cats, all Black units destroyed.

    White fighter returns to original hex. Meanwhile C with Snowcat lands for no lost, on 1 VP island, destroying 2 defending Wolf units. Also having built three Snow Cats at Apogee Base.

    Round Two will have more condensed info., in order to speed up play. For now Black Main Base is devoid of defenders. Also the APC/Tank type units are very poor in defense, a attacking smaller force can overwhelming knock out a larger defensive garrison. As for attacking, their abilities are really overrated, considering they are not really heavy say artillery/big guns/missile sets. Hey it’s G.I. Joe/Cobra technology! Much less if you wanted to introduce “real world” weapons of drones?, House Rule of course.
