Axis & Allies RoundRobin Bulge 8.
This variation is of regular German forces facing Infantry & Cannons Allies(with the tanks being parcel out evenly between the Infantry & Cannons). With the Axis going automatic first for Turn One, and, after die toss winning the right to go first, in Turn Two.
Here the Allies were reduce to one cannon and and the Axis VP went from 3 to 17, at end of Turn Two. The Allies losses made it difficult to continue with the game, perhaps another day, if the Allies got to go first, on Turn Two. Thanks, Pellulo
Turn One, after two rounds of combat, all Allies front units wiped out, captured 12 tokens(makes up for 12 used for the whole round), VP=3, front line North-South Axis taken(plus two additional hexes due to blitzing). Allies can just thinly cover front line.
Turn Two, instead of another blowout for Axis, the Allies get to go first, in turn Two. Here the Allies still get creamed, losses of 09 to Axis 03. VP=go up to 17, a Blitz. takes Bastogne, seven Allied tokens captured. Allied reinforcements set up to take back “Big B”.
Turn Three, Allies go again first, either stop the Axis or game over, losses 2 tanks & 2 guns , &, Axis 8 tanks. Allies fire power & tokens make the difference, Axis front line thinned out, but, VP=increase to 21.
Turn Four needed to be Five(airpower needed), even with Allies first, losses of 11 units(4 are trucks), and, Axis lose 08 units(one truck). Still Axis squeaked out to VP=24, game over. thanks, Pellulo

9. Finally a variation with some rules changes, basically just having anything rolled for a six and down as a hit, with the defender/attacker choosing the lost, and, having combat simultaneously.
The first time I tried it, I also gave the Allies a chance just for defense only in Turn One(they would never start an attack) of defending on five down and the Axis attacking(due to surprise on seven down). The game went quickly till Round Six, seeing the Axis could not survive another air attack, I scrapped the ideal of letting the Allies defending themselves for round one.
Now replaying the game with just anything rolled for a six and down as a hit, with the defender/attacker choosing the lost, and, having combat simultaneously.

Round One:Entire Allied Front Line wiped out, Axis front line advances one hex, Victory Points of three. Play goes faster by just having a lost by rolling six and down, using no combat strips.
Round Two:Axis goes first, lose 5 troopers and a gun, Allies lose 3 tanks & 1 trooper & 1 truck, now with the defender/attacker choosing the lost, and, having combat simultaneously. Still Axis entire front goes forward one hex, and Victory Points of four.
Round Three:Allies go first, heavy losses, they lose 6 troopers, 1 tank & gun , and, two trucks. German losses are eight tanks, and, one gun, such low troop numbers does not allow much combine arms, thus no covering infantry & high tank losses.
Germans still hug Bastogne(nearly all defenders wiped out inside), but, will not fall this turn, due to strong Allied counterattacks. Still Axis line partially goes forward, with VP now five.
Round Four: Allies go first, Bastogne already secured by Allies reinforcement last round, but, by going first weakens the German main force outside the town. Allies lose 3 trucks, 4 tanks, 1 gun, and, two troopers. Axis lose 3 each of tanks, troops, and, guns(also 1 truck). Germans gain only one additional V.P., and, only one hex. Allies do not built any reserves, just throws all their forces for attacks, heavy losses, but, does blunt the German drive.
Round Five:Axis goes first, have enough forces to take Bastogne, but, with the use of Air Power whittles away their land offensive power. Axis Air Power wiped out, Allies lose 4 fighters planes(Germans lose to Air Power 4 supply tokens, 1 trooper, 1 tank). Allies all wiped out in Axis attack, still holding Bastogne with a lone trooper, reinforcements rushed in, German line very thinned out. V.P. now at thirteen points.
Round Six:Allies go first. Axis forces at midpoint of board, except for going up North the German line tapers back to Eupen.
Round Six cont.:Allies go first, more supply tokens than units to use them plague both sides. For Air Battle Allies lose seven fighters(too many spread out, shot down by AA fire), Axis lose all three fighters & one bomber, along with one tank and a trooper. For land combat Allies lose three troopers, 1 gun, 4 tanks, & a truck, while Axis lose 1 trooper, 3 guns, 3 tanks, and a truck. The Allies are nearly cleared off the board (again!), but, even thought a Axis presence, not in position to move out and claim a hex that has V.P.(total 14 & GE. uses last of its reinforcements).
Round Seven:Axis go first, in Air Battle again all Axis Air is wiped out, Allies lose a total of 5 fighters(more to AA guns), but take out a trooper, 3 tanks & 2 trucks. For land battle Allies lose a truck & tank, 2 troopers in a failed attacks, that cost the Axis no losses. The unexpected Allies loses cannot plug up the holes it created in the front lines, up North the only intact Axis force moves out to claim 2 hexes, and, 5 precious V.P.(The other Axis force of one trooper down South, could not move. Also for the first time, the Allies retake a hex worth one victory Point).
The count is now 18 Victory Points.
Round Eight: Germany goes first. Allied Air Power smashes what is left of the Axis drive(again all Axis Air lost & a tank & two troopers, Allies lose a bomber & 7 fighters). Leaving just a German cannon in the North & trooper in the South & two trucks. Also six Allied troopers and a tank & gun, and, two trucks are left.
I ended the game, as it was mathematically not possible for the Axis to win(so close, but, yet so far). Earlier if the Bastogne Allied garrison had been completely wiped out, and, a hex point not lost back to the Allies, the V.P. would be up to 23. Thanks, Pellulo
If the last variation gave to much edge to the Allies, this one gives it to the Axis, no supply tokens, but, with modified hits, thanks, Pellulo
Turn One: Allies front line as usual dissolves away, and, Axis front line goes one hex forward.
Here with modified hits(just simple six down is a hit), the Allies lose all eight troopers and five cannons & Axis gain V.P.=3. In a earlier version of this variation, the Allies were allowed to counterattack for Round One, but, game ended the same(of course with much less Axis forces on the board, seven).
Turn Two: Germany goes first, later the Allies will pass up on any counter-attacks. Entire Axis line goes forward one hex, except for Eupen. Allies lose 2 Infantry, 5 tanks, 2 trucks, &, the Axis lose 4 Infantry. All the Allies have on on the board is one of each land base unit. The V.P.=8.
Turn Three: Allies goes first, again the Axis line goes forward one hex, except for Bastogne.
Allies lose 5 Infantry, 3 guns, 1 tank & 3 trucks, &, the Axis lose 1 Infantry & 9 tanks. V.P.=14.
Turn Four: Axis go first, again the Allies will pass on a counterattack(having left one tank). With Bastogne hoping to be a major point of an Allied initial go first attack, holding over half the Allied units, all it has left, after the first German attacks is one tank. Allied losses are 4 infantry & 4 tanks & 1 truck. Also Axis losses are 3 Infantry, 2 guns, and, 4 tanks. Not the whole Axis line goes one hex, but, V.P.=23.
Turn Five: Axis goes first, here with modified attack rules, the Air Fighters & Bombers attacking ground units, are less effective. Allied losses via Air combat are 7 fighters, and, Axis losses are 3 fighters, &, 2 trucks, 1 Infantry & gun & tank.
For land combat, Allies lose 2 Infantry, 1 gun, 2 tanks & trucks, &, Axis lose 2 Infantry, 2 guns, 5 tanks & a truck. Bastogne falls, with just two Allied foot left on the board. The Allies take back one hex, the Germans get enough hexes to get V.P.=24plus. Game ended, of course to the bitter end, the Allies might have gotten back those hexes. Thanks, Pellulo

Both variations with & without tokens, but, with modifies hits(using old style Axis and Allies values were used and tried). Here Infantry hit on 1 for attack(unless back up by a cannon, it became 2 for attack) & 2 for defense, cannons just 2 for A/D, tanks 3 for A/D or 3 for attack & 2 for defense, 1 for defense for a truck/transport, fighters 3 for attack & bombers 1 for attack(if actually bombing, then 4).
Games went smoothly, but, by turn 5 & 6 for both games, it was stopped. Allies losses were heavy, but, Axis were even more so, &, with Air Power a factor, the German’s best remaining forces were picked off.
This final variation is for no supply tokens, but, with regular Bulge attacks.
Turn One: Axis go first, move 5 hexes and V.P.=1. Allies lose 5 Infantry, 3 guns & one retreated.
Round Two: Axis go first this round. Losses Allies are 4 Infantry & 1 tank, &, Axis losses are 3 Infantry & 2 tanks. Axis gain 3 hexes & V.P.=5.
Round Three: Allies go first, &, losses of 3 trucks & 4 Infantry & 2 tanks. Axis losses of 1 truck & infantry, &, 2 tanks, also gain 1 hex & V.P.=9.
Round Four: Allies go first, &, losses of 1 Infantry and gun & 2 tanks. Axis lose 1 truck & gun,
and, 3 tanks. Also gain 4 hexes & V.P.=11.
Round Five: Allies go first, losses for air combat are: Allies 5 fighters and two bombers, &, Axis 3 fighters & bomber lost(also two Axis Infantry are retreated). Land losses are: Allies 3 Infantry & one retreated, 1 gun and 2 tanks. Axis 1 truck, and, 2 infantry & tanks, and, 3 guns.
Round Six: Allies go first(due to reinforcements from Round Five, the Allies are slightly behind the Axis, in numbers on the board). Air losses for Allies are 3 fighters, &, Axis all aircraft and 3 tanks. Land combat losses for Allies are 1 truck, 2 Infantry, 1 gun, and, 3 tanks. Axis losses are
2 Infantry, 1 gun, &, 5 tanks. Also 2 hexes gained & V.P.=14. Not being able to have all forces clustered in combine arms, lets the Allies Air Power attack, thus facing less A.A. fire.
Round Seven: Allies go first, losses by air of Allies of 6 fighters and 1 bomber, &, all Axis air power lost, along with 1 truck. Land losses are Allies 2 tanks and 3 trucks. Also Axis lose 1 gun & truck, and, 5 tanks. Axis gain 1 hex & V.P.=15.
Round Eight: Axis go first, losses by air of Allies of 6 fighters and 1 Infantry. Axis lose only 3 fighters and 1 truck(their Ju-88 bomber survives to fight another day). Land losses are of Allies of 1 Infantry & truck, and, 2 tanks. The German losses are of one Infantry & gun & tank. Axis gain another hex and final V.P.=16 of 24 needed.
So much left on the board, would a ninth round made a difference?, the forces left are: Allies 4 trucks, 14 Infantry, 5 guns & 5 tanks. Axis 1 truck, 9 Infantry, 2 guns & 4 tanks.
This variation of regular Bulge attacks & no supply tokens, is the best of the variations played.

13. A sub-variant tried was, no supply tokens, but, with regular Bulge attacks, but, the defender is allowed to counterattack, if they want to(in other words simultaneous combat using the Bulge hit/attack method).
Round One: Axis goes first(as always), no tokens, regular Bulge game attacks, but, defender may counterattack. Allis losses are 7 Infantry & 1 gun, &, Axis losses are just 1 Infantry. Hexes gain are 4 & V.P.=2.
Round Two: Allies go first, losses are 2 troopers & tanks & 3 trucks. Axis losses are 2 Infantry & 1 tanks & 2 trucks. hexes gain of 5 & V.P.=8.
Round Three: Axis goes first, losses are 4 Infantry & 2 guns & 4 tanks & 1 truck. Allies losses are 2 Infantry & guns & 1 tank & 2 trucks. Hexes gain 5 & V.P.=12.
Round Four: Axis goes first & losses 1 Infantry & gun & truck, &, 2 tanks. Allies lose 4 Infantry & guns & 5 tanks & 1 truck(one of the worst Allies losses ever). The Axis gain 6 hexes, but, only move V.P.=15. Last of the great Ge. reinforcements.
Round Five: Either air power saves the day for the Allies, or, it is all over. Allies go first, losses Air 5 fighters ,and, land battles 2 troopers. Axis losses Air 3 fighters & bomber & 3 tanks(destroyed by Allied air). Axis losses on land battle are 1 infantry & gun & 2 tanks. Axis hexes gained 4 & V.P.=16.
Round Six: Allies go first, losses via air are 7 fighters, &, Axis lose 3 fighters & bomber & 4 tanks(the tanks due to Allied Air Power, finally kicking in!).
Land losses are Allies 5 Infantry & 1 gun & 2 tanks, and, Axis losses are 3 Infantry & 2 tanks(both sides lose a truck). Axis losses in trucks will begin to hurt moving troops & guns around, still gain a hex & V.P.=17.
Round Seven: Allies go first, air losses of 3 fighters, &, Ge. losses of 3 fighters & a bomber, &, 2 tanks & a gun. Land losses Allies lose 2 Infantry & a truck, and, Germans lose 2 Infantry & guns & 1 tank. Allies get last of their reinforcements, and, actually outnumber the Germans, especially in tanks,. Still Germans get two more hexes & Allies take back one. The Axis cannot manned their whole front, gaps have opened in it. V.P. now 21. Thanks, Pellulo
Finally Round Eight:Germany goes first, air losses are 3 fighters, 1 bomber,&, 1 Infantry & gun & tank. Allies air losses are 8 fighters and 1 bomber. Land losses for Axis are 1 Infantry & 2 guns & 3 tanks, &, Allies are 1 gun & tank.
When it came to movement turn the one remaining Axis tank, if it was North not South, of the “Big B”(Bastogne), would have rolled into the much needed V.P. needed(the Allies ended up covering all their hexes but one hex was left exposed).
The Axis high point of 21 is reduced by four as Allies take back 4 hexes(the Axis took none). What is left on board 11 Infantry & 3 trucks & 8 tanks for Allies, the Germans have left 5 Infantry & 1 gun & 1 misplace SOUTHERN tank. This version of play is quite enjoyable & bit faster than regular game play, thanks, Pellulo

This Round Robin is for Japan with 22 Destroyers & 2 bombers & 11 fighters + USN fleet of just 7 Aircraft Carriers & their 14 fighters & 5 Bombers & also 11 more fighters=Japan 6 DD at sea & 6 for at repair at Rabaul & two bombers. USN one AC at Caledonia, with 11 fighters & 5 Bombers.
If it went for another battle round, Japan would probably lose control of The Slot, thanks, Pellulo

So what happens, the losing side stops buying capital ships, the game a tied, even thought the other side invaded and took the home island(minor victory?).

This Round Robin is for Japan with 22 Destroyers & 2 bombers & 11 fighters + USN fleet of just 1 Battleship, 2 AC with four fighters, 2 CC, 5 DD, 2 Subs., 6 Transports(empty),&, 12 fighters & 5 bombers=Japan has 10 DD in for repair, USA has 1 BB, 1 CC, 2 DD, 1 sub. at sea, &, 2 Bombers & fighters, for repair 1 AC & CC & DD.
Final Round Robin was were the Japanese needed to take fortress New Caladonia, a couple of rounds went by, as the USA baited the enemy. Here Japan slowly brought up their invasion fleet(the bait was three ACs Japan needed to sink, to get total of 15 VP).
USA had 6 subs. & 3 AC(with 6 fighters), 10 troopers, 2 AA guns, &, 8 cannons+Japan had 14 bombers, 6 fighters, 11 troopers, 5 guns, 3 ACs, 9 transports(two empty), 2 subs., 2 BBs, 2 DDs, &, 2 CCs=

Next Axis & Allies 1940 Europe RoundRobin of a Most Limited Version
Italian Scenarios: Italy versus each of the Allied Powers of British Empire/France(no scenario with U.S.S.R. & U.S.A.). Italy versus two Allied Powers of B.E. & France. None for Italy versus three or four Allied Powers. Why no scenarios with Soviets and American forces?, for the reason of distance, by the time their naval forces reach the Med. Sea, the game would probably be over.
In the single scenario, by the time Soviets/Americans reach the Med. Sea, Italy would have just hunker down by building up her naval & air forces. In the double game, Italy would probably sued for peace, for example a British Empire & Soviets scenario. Much less Italy versus three Allied nations, for example fighting against British Empire, U.S.S.R., &, U.S.A. For theses scenarios Italy would go first.
Now regular order of nations turn, for Italy and Germany, versus, two and three Allied powers. Axis(both), versus, two Allied powers of USSR & UK, USSR & USA, BE & USA, USSR & Fr., BE & Fr., and, finally USA & Fr.
For three Allied powers game, both Axis ,versus, USSR, UK, USA, and, USSR, Fr., USA, and, USSR, UK, Fr., and, finally UK, Fr., USA.
Finally a regular game with only regular player, no minor allies allowed. Also a game with the regular players, with the minor allies introduced/staggered throughout the game. The game will be played 12 rounds, each round will be 6 months, and it starts on round two(ignoring round one, which was “The Phony War Period” as the Western Front was static, from Sept. 1939 to Feb. 1940). Round Two is from 3-40 to 8-40, as minor allies will be introduced as they come into the conflict by historical dates. Each turn is a rotation of 6 months, so round three is Sept.-Feb. 1940-1941, with round four repeating the same months found in round two, and, so forth. So Greece will join the Allies before U.S.S.R., much less U.S.A.
If you want to bring in Spain/Turkey, some scenarios have those rules already written up. After all Turkey & allot nations join the Allies, in order to get UN founder status, and came in very late into the war(Turkey about less than 2 months before V-E day).
So beginning with Round Two March-August 1940, and, to Round 12 March-April-May(V-E Day). Only nations that are on the board pro Axis/Allies to either factions are used:
Americas-> Brazil IPC of 2(Allies 3 infantry), enters game round 6 , pro Allies,
Middle East->Iraq(Axis) and Iran(Allies), both are worth 2 IPCs & 2 infantry, Iraq enters round four pro Axis, but, by round five is pro Allies, while Iran(AKA Persia) enters round nine, is pro Allies,
Northern Europe-> Finland IPCs of 4(Axis 4 infantry), enters round 4 to 11 pro Axis, neutral round 12,
Balkans & S.E. Europe->Yugoslavia IPCs of 2(Allies 5 infantry), enters round four pro Allies, Bulgaria IPCs of 1(Axis 4 infantry), enters 4 to 11 pro Axis, by round 12 becomes pro Allies, and, Greece IPCs of 2(Allies 4 infantry) enters round 4, pro Allies.

Two Let the games begin, Italy versus British Empire(the latter making peace with GE. on the Western Front, but, still has forces left to deal with the “New Roman Empire”) .
Round One: Italy builds sub. & trooper. Both fleets leave Italy & go off Egypt(leaving a Cruiser behind). British C & transport sunk for a lost of a It. Destroyer. Along the way troopers leave the two transports & took over undefended Malta & Jordan, also the remaining trooper & gun(artillery) are landed in Tobruk. Meanwhile Tobruk garrison(with fighter from S. Italy) crosses over into Alexandria, which defeat the defending garrison(for a lost of 3 troopers & 2 mobile infantry & all of British forces of 2 troopers, gun, tank, &, fighter).
Forces from N. Italy move to S. Italy, as British forces in France cannot enter Italy from that nation. Forces in Eastern Africa take over undefended British Somaliland, and, for a lost of a trooper each side, take over the Sudan.
British Empire builds 2 transports, 2 troopers, &, tank. Two troopers from S. Africa start to move up to Kenya, while trooper & gun pull out of Egypt. They retake Sudan, taking out the It. trooper for a lost of a gun, waiting for troopers from S. Africa. Land units in Fr. move to S. France awaiting transports(they cannot invade It. from France).
At sea DD off S. Africa heads for Red Sea, while fleets off Canada & U.K. head to Atlantic entrance to Med. Sea(to join A.C. & DD). Destroyer leaves A.C. with strategic bomber, and, enters Med. Sea off Gibraltar(that way It. cannot claim no British ships are in the Med. Sea). While fighters from London along with S.B(strategic bomber) from A.C. land in Gibraltar(along with landed trooper & tank from Canadian transport). Another transport with trooper from London, goes to Canada, &, picks up another trooper.
Italy goes to the Peace Table, another round its surface fleet & air will probably be history. Much less with its home islands being pick off, &, its land forces stranded in N. Africa. Offering Jordan & Malta back to the British, who would rather recover from the mess on the western front. Moderate Axis victory(IPCs Lost Axis 32 & Allies 54).

Three Next scenario, let’s us see if stabbing this Latin neighbor in the back, is so easy this time. Italian Empire versus French Empire.
Round One: Italy builds mobile infantry & 2 troopers. Both fleets go off S. France & destroy Fr. Fleet for lost of only a fighter. The two transports pick up from N. Africa 3 troopers & gun, which are landed in S. France(along with invading force crossing over from Northern Italy, &, forces from S. Italy moving towards Fr.). For no lost defending Fr. trooper & gun are destroyed, S. France falls!
From Alexandria tank & 2 mobile troops attach Fr. Tunisia. For a lost of a mobile the defending Fr. trooper is taken out, the colony falls!
France builds 4 troopers & gun. Moves C from North Sea & DD from East Africa to Med. Sea(Suez canal is closed to Fr., but, that does not let the Italians send a transport through the canal, to pick up troops in E. Africa & pick off undefended Fr. colonies). All forces from France & Normandy enter S. France, &, in ensuing battle with It. forces, only a Fr. tank survives(S. France is freed).
Trooper from Morocco moves into Algeria, &, trooper from Algeria moves into Tunisia. There the trooper & It. tank & mobile infantry, are all lost in battle.
Also It. has lost twice as many IPCs in round one, much less controlling only one territory as compared to four, in first scenario with the British Empire.
Round Two: It. builds in N. Italy trooper, gun, tank, &, fighter. Moves C & BB to Brest, &, another C to waters off west coast of Africa, to destroy Fr. fleets. Forces again from N. Italy invade S. France with lost of a trooper, to take out defending Fr. tank, S. France falls!
In Africa 3 troopers move from Libya to reinforce Tunisia.
France builds sub., gun, &, 2 troopers. Forces from France retake S. France again, while DD works it way up the coast of West Africa.
Round Three: It. builds sub., tank, gun, &, 3 troopers. Tunisia forces capture undefended Algeria, while at sea C meets Fr. DD off W. Africa, &, both are lost. Also fleet attacks Fr. fleet at Brest, only damage It. BB survives.
Again from N. Italy invasion of S. France, again it is taken. Fr. cannot put enough forces there to hold it.
Fr. builds 5 troopers. Garrison from France fails to retake S. France, leaving only a It. tank as the lone survivor.
Round Four: Italy builds fighter, gun, &, 3 troopers. Algeria troopers reach & take undefended Morocco, also damaged BB on its way back to home port. Tank in S. France rolls through unprotected Normandy and joins the forces from N. Italy in France. France falls!
Except for a trooper in U.K., Syria, &, W. Africa the French forces are wiped out, Italian navy is reduced to at sea a damaged BB, sub., &, 2 transports. Garrison forces in E. Africa & tank in Albania that never saw combat(that are in combat 3 troopers in Morocco, &, 2 tanks, &, gun, &, trooper in France).
I gave It. full credit for bonuses for controlling Med. Sea & S. France. Without the extra income, Fr. probably be in Northern Italy by now. Losses were not cheap for Italy, Allied IPCs lost were 134, &, Axis 133. Major win for Italy, marred by losses in IPCs.
