I have done the early war as UK once on round 1 and once on round 2, if you can pull off a Sneaky Karl that can be worth it. I think it can also be very strong for helping boost China from a concentrated push by the Japanese, but it’s certainly a tool to be used sparingly.

All right, maybe the threat to the Americans isn’t as absurd as I was claiming. With the starting mechs and AA guns, you can do a pretty good job defending the mainland against a token invasion.
I wound up editing the UK Pac. infantry into Shanghai; sorry about that, I just forgot to move it in during the combat phase, but that was always my intention, which is why I built the Chinese infantry just to the south of it.
