@MadWaldi Japs are up
@Elrood You can play F after FM then. We should then have a meeting of minds on what to do, if anything. My memory tells me that when I last played F with Industry tech and survived the G onslaught I did not divert resources away from Paris. It was still touch and go. I think you and witt were my allies, so you may remember. Presumably FM was G, which might explain why he hates the idea of helping F.
Anyway, if you gents prove witt and I wrong over the next couple of games we will forget the idea.
@Witt The German army is on its way to defend Spain against the upcoming USA invasion. The quickest and easiest way is to get on France’s excellent railway system at Paris, which has the only terminals with the capacity to handle our large army.
@Private-Panic First Ponco Villa wiped out the British invaders and now withstood the Yanquis. Viva Mexico.
I forgot to move sub sz76 > sz73

Sweet, I remembered how to forum dice and my G sub sank the UK cruiser and transport. It was worth the 40% odds to sink the transport and leave no UK transports in the area.
@FMErwinRommel does it matter ?

I didn’t even divert units to Picardy or Burgundy, which was wise, as I rolled below average and France rolled above. But I still won by a landslide.
@Witt no, my naval victory in Arabian Sea didn’t matter. But I was aggressive in Africa and Pacific.
@FMErwinRommel well done .
Not to presume, but based on the conversations to date, Entente doesn’t plan on continuing if Paris falls, and it did.
I’d like to play another and ask Simon Tressel to join us.
Has anyone heard from Dawg?
Shall we continue to play without modification or with some adjustment? Let’s hear from everyone.
I’m not saying that I expect to play France just to prove a point. Just that I will avoid playing Germany, if possible, this next game. We’re still rolling for picking order. If someone else wants France or Germany, that’s fine.
We do concede.
@Witt What? No fight them on the beaches and hedgerows speech from Churchill? Guess that has to wait for WWII.
@FMErwinRommel Britain isn’t bothered that France has fallen .
Have you not read how, in 1914. the French and British commanders didn’t respect each other , hardly even talked strategy , actually? Both believed the other was useless.
Much like like Von Kluck and Von Bulow!
Hello all. FM invited me to introduce myself in advance of the next possible game of NML. I’ve only played this map against the computer, so I don’t have any input about the balance changes etc. that you’ve been mentioning. I’m open to playing any power, but with the little experience I have, you probably don’t want to put me on a critical power. Thanks for the invite, and looking forward to seeing how it goes!
Simon
@simon-tressel hi from England .(Private Panic also lives in England .)
Happy you want to join us .
Thanks! I’m from Canada (Northern British Columbia).
@simon-tressel nice a close friend of mine lives in Squamish BC. I am from Germany
@simon-tressel Hi Simon. Welcome to our team games. Where are you from?
@simon-tressel said in NML 1914 team game 16:
Thanks! I’m from Canada (Northern British Columbia).
Ahhh! Now I know!
Also, I never said the game was well balanced. But I think the problem is to deep within the setting itself. The actual conflict was stale and boring! No grand maneuvers or essential battles.
They rather blew up mountains back in the day rather than relying on strategy or tactics, for crying out loud.
I believe we cannot fix it with any means which do not destroy your holy “historical accuracy” as well! :-P
