it is totally fine really, and it would not have changed Novgorod! So the only thing I regret (with kind of future information) is not to have sticked with 2inf (+1Ftr) to ukraine instead of inf+art - but I wanted to make sure

btw a while ago I had intended to suggest unchecking Map Option “Convoy Blockades Roll Dice for Cost” for playoff games in order to support ncm-edits.
But I forgot when playoff started; if you like however we can do so from now on. It has little effect on the game itself imo and matches lenient edit policy by avoiding doubtful late non-combat movement
OK, so I think you’re saying that because TripleA rolls dice for convoy damage, that then a non-com edit after that is technically after dice have been rolled,
And that you like having the old rule of automatic convoy damage, 1 IPC per ships, 2 for each plane on a carrier, and 2 for each sub, right?
I would have agreed to eliminating convoy blockade dice before the game, so I would also agree to that from now on in our game, as you proposed
But I’m confused because the engine will keep rolling dice and then we’d have to edit every time.

yeah, you got me (except that I think it is 1 IPC per plane on a carrier) - and as far as I know TripleA wont continue rolling dice when we uncheck before loading the game next time. In case engine does continue rolling I am favoring to leave it as is but we can just try (if dice are rolled, we will keep them, and if no dice are rolled, but the fixed convoy blockades apply, we will be fine)
Or didn’t you know that at least if you start a game with the Option unchecked the automatic convoy blockades do apply (and not none)?
It works, I did it in local, so we can do no dice from now on. I don’t like dice with them anyway, I liked it better before.
