yes, I like the addition as well. I could see reasons both for using it and not. You can’t replace French troops and they do have the ability to reinforce a British newly conquered TTy.

Giving the Brits a couple extra dudes that could be used in LCV attacks along with the Ftr would be nice too. Especially as UK has a lot of mouths to feed IPC wise.
Ftr can also help against U-boats.

Anyway, it’ll be fun to try out. I like having the option. I will add for next triplea update, although it’s a pretty easy edit but we might as well make it as push button friendly as we can :)

The cost of 5 IPC that the UK player must pay to the Bank, reflects a similar game mechanism as that of the Soviet Union must pay for the Lend-Lease units.

Even though the average UK cost for converting the French units is somewhat higher than the Soviet average cost for converting Lend-Lease units, our game experience shows that this has no influence on the balance of the entire game.

Once players have used this rule 4-5 times as part of the comprehensive Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion we would be gratefull to receive questions & feedback on this rule.

Two questions:

This costs the same as the German Takeover of Italy, yet seems likely to provide/convert far fewer units. How do you think this is balanced? Thank you!

Secondly, does it only apply to those three units?

Like in a scenario where 1 French infantry from United Kingdom moves to Scotland, but then a UK transport moves 1 French infantry from Morocco to United Kingdom, can the conversion still occur in Early 1942 (obviously the infantry in Scotland won’t be affected)?

On a similar note, if by a similar process there are 3 French infantry and 1 fighter, can the conversion still occur to 2 of the infantry and the fighter? Thank you!
