Thank you for sending the map to my printer. I have been testing scenarios out with my A&A using my 1942 second edition. I just have been using sticky note paper to mark my Italian territories. I used the game pieces from my anniversary addition for the Italian pieces. I also added have tracks: cost is IPC 5. Attack 2, defend 2 as tanks cost 6 IPC in this version. Its nice to spend 5 IPC on an actual unit other than an AA gun. No artillery bonus on half track in this version
I also added the recruitment center from zombies.
Please see the chart below
MOBILIZATION ZONE
UNIT STATS COST MOVE ATTACK DEFENSE
LAND UNITS
INFANTRY 3 1 1 2
ARTILLERY 4 1 2 2
HALF TRACK 5 2 2 2
TANK 6 2 3 3
ANTIAIRCRAFT ARTILLERY 5 1 0 1
RECRUITMENT CENTER 10 0 0 0
INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX 15 0 0 0
My custom Battle Board
-

Just received my custom Battle Board that I had printed to go along with the upcoming giant 1940 Global map that I pre-ordered. Inspired by the original vintage game from 1984 with the design of the original battle board, I just wanted to pay homage to that original design where this now includes expansion pieces for my own AXIS & ALLIES game at home with my son using house rules and third-party pieces (mostly from Historical Board Gaming). This custom board measures 14" x 14".
Thought I’d share this as I thought some might like to see.
I’m a graphic designer and illustrator. I put this together myself using mainly Adobe Illustrator and some Photoshop when I needed to create some of the silhouette icons. Some were borrowed from the actual game’s images for the units.

@ScottMcCullar Where may I find the file or purchase a board please?
-
Quite nice.
Couple questions, if you’re willing.- Where did you order this from once you sent them the PDF image to print?
- Where did you get the silhouettes you used to make the images in each of the hit number categories?
I am particularly interested in finding the various silhouettes you used. Please share that if you’re willing.
Thanks,
Chris

I think @ScottMcCullar created a lot of that board in Adobe Illustrator. I am about to undertake a similar project for my Anniversary Game setup. Happy to share when I am done.
@ScottMcCullar Where did you get the foldable backing ?
Cheers

@Pvt_Griff Thank you

Hi Pvt Griff,
Not in any way pressing you… You’re offering to do me a favor. Just wanted to keep myself on your radar to please send me your silhouettes as you are crafting your battle board.Thanks

@Pvt_Griff
Have you made any progress on the battle board you described crafting?
Certainly not asking in order to press, but rather in an effort to stay on your radar so that you might share with me what you have created.
Thanks!

@ScottMcCullar would it be possible, would I be too rude in asking, if you would consider sharing a pdf or jpeg of each of the icons you created in order to make this?
Thanks for any assistance.
Chris
