We’re waiting for the third member of the CP to respond to make it official, but 2 of us are ready to concede the game.
It was interesting, -
@FMErwinRommel and USA was just starting some battles! :-(
-
The Austrians made up their mind. Franz Ferdinand was a jerk and had to die after all. War over 😀
-
@VictoryFirst thanks for the game. Was my very lucky defence of Paris that sealed it for us.
You guys didn’t do anything wrong . Should have been your victory.
-
I estimated 98% odds on Paris, so sent 3 cav from Bavaria to defend Galicia instead of towards Paris on G4. That one move brought my odds down to 95%. After 6 rounds of dice favoring F in Paris on G5, each side was down to a handful of units. Those 3 redirected units would have allowed me to continue battling. I probably would have taken Paris with just 1 unit. That would have given me his income and not allowed F to build, even tho he would have immediately retaken Paris.
Occasionally, G has the odds on Paris and attacks and wins and the game is over. Usually, G finds he doesn’t have the offense to take Paris and doesn’t attack it. Which leaves G with a strong army to hold Champagne and be in a strong position on the Western Front. But, after my battle loss, France was able to push me back into G. And, I had skimped everywhere else to make the western front strong, so it was all or nothing. -
Enjoyable game. Thanks guys! If Elrood had known that his Americans would seal our victory with just one real battle then he could have saved us all a lot of time and done it about 5 moves ago!!!
-
@Private-Panic quite the opposite! I should have let Austrians have Rome and have endured your pleading and whining, while I had the time of my life taking Spain!
-
Then and only THEN, with Europe in ashes, I would have strolled in like a New York dandy steamrolling centrals and let you celebrate me! :-D :-D
Oh I love evil me!! 😈
-
Heh heh see? That’s is what money does to people 😂
-
We heard from our remaining partner, we officially concede the game. It was fun.
Who’s up for game 16? -
@FMErwinRommel
im in please -
Yes - count me in too
-
@Private-Panic only because you are playing again, I will play: I love beating you !
-
@Witt It happens to rarely I know!
-
@Private-Panic dementia is your friend., my friend.
-
@VictoryFirst one question: did you see the possibility of an US attack on Latium or was that an oversight?
-
I did see that US could land in Latium but I apparently calculated the odds too quickly and missed to include some of your units. Not that without that mistake we would have won or anything, I think we were already lost after the Paris defeat.
-
@VictoryFirst I think Seb added a few units to the map. Wasn’t your fault.
Got to watch these nasty Germans!
