D-Day: TGC {Allies) vs. SBY (Germans)
-
2 American fighters are in St. Lo. 5 German infantry and 3 German artillery (the 3rd Fallschrim Division, a detatchment of 1 infantry from the 77th Infantry Division, and 1 artillery representing the organic artillery units attached to the 2nd Fallschrim corps) move into the zone.
1 figher already rolled, and destroyed 1 German infantry.
Rolling for the 1 fighter stratfing the 4 remaining German infantry: [dice 4d6]
Rolling for the 1 fighter stratfing the 3 German artillery: [dice 4d6]
-
4d6: 5, 1, 1, 2
4d6: 3, 2, 3, 1 -
Note: 1 German artillery in the attack on St. Lo was the sole unit in the German 12th brigade.

Due to the fact I accidentally asked the dicebot to roll one more than was necessary, I will count that hit as an extra. 3 hits from the 2 fighters combined is closer to the statistical average anyway.

This just came up with VictoryFirst and my opinion on any extra dice being rolled is the same from game to game: the dice at the tail end will be ignored, whatever the result. In this case, the last die in line is ignored. So I agree - we should ignore any result from that die.
