@VictoryFirst I’ve had this occur in several other games of TripleA and my preference is to ignore the “extra” dice at the tail end of the row. In this case, since only one infantry was present, we count the first dice and ignore the second (since it was not present).
I used to roll a die to see what hit would be ignored but realized this was biased in favor of whoever rolled the extra dice - in other words, over-rolling sometimes caused this “check” die to be rolled when it otherwise shouldn’t.
So my preference is to ignore the 2nd dice which was the hit. This would be my preference for any situation like this going forward.
