Oh, my bad, I missed that about the fortifications. Thought I did the same move as in our previous game though. I guess you’re probably right because it makes sense I should control the territory at the start of my turn :)
Will still ask Captain though to make sure. @The-Captain is it possible to fortify infantry units that are on islands from the Dutch East Indies that just moved there and took control that turn?
For example, it’s turn 1 and Java is controlled by the Dutch. ANZAC moves an infantry to the territory, takes control, and then fortifies the infantry. Is that allowed or should you wait until turn 2 before you can do that?
If it isn’t, then yeah, I would’ve probably saved that money. So British and ANZAC will get +1 then.
