No worries, it’s all good :)
Lol I had to laugh so hard when I noticed the partisan got a hit xD The funniest thing is that Bessarabia is originally Romanian territory, so the poor Italian tank got dusted by their Romanian allies :)

Japan begins the game with an IPC Level at 26 IPC.
Even when all Original Japanese Controlled islands have their IPC Value increased before game start (Early 1940).
Example:
In Early 1940 and Late 1940, Japan captures Chinese territories with a total IPC value worth of 6 IPC.At the end of the Japanese turn in Late 1940 in the Collect Income phase, Japans IPC level is now at 32 IPC.
On the UK players turn in Late 1940, the UK attacks and captures Formosa - which has a Total IPC Value at 2 IPC.
The UK IPC Level is now increased with 2 IPC - and the Japanese IPC Level is reduced with 2 IPC.
This means, that the Japanese Total IPC Level is now at 30 IPC. -

VictoryFirst
In Late 1941 ANZAC captured Formosa and received 2 IPC for it. Formosa is now worth 2 IPC to whoever controls it.
In Early 1942 Japan liberates Formosa.Japan controls the above TTys at the Collect Income Phase at the end of Early 1942.
Is the above total correct ?

I don’t think they really much cared for the Italians. Allies or not lol
-
Hmm … reading this yet again, it looks as if I have triplea coded wrong. JPN doesn’t get the bonus. Well, actually, they get a negative bonus when ANZAC takes control and then the bonus when they take control which equals out to no bonus.
So if you’re the original owner of the TTY, you don’t get the bonus. Everyone gets the Dutch bonus. In the rare instance a Capital falls and one of your Allies takes control of a activated Island, they would get the bonus.
@VictoryFirst we will have to correct for this for any Islands that have been activated. Also, ANZAC will correctly receive there negative bonus this turn, but not next turn. Have todo that by hand too.
I’ll try and fix it in the rewrite. Never been able to get it to work so far, but got a couple new ideas :)
-
Yeah, not really sure actually how that rule is coded in triplea currently. So you are giving positive and negative bonuses to countries each time to get it to work?
What you could maybe is just get rid of the old IPC values and replace them with the new ones. And then just add a negative bonus to each country to make their starting incomes correct. Idk maybe with a national objective that is always true.
Capturing territories and adjusting IPC values would work properly then since triplea automatically does that correctly. The only bummer is that convoy raiding islands won’t work correctly, but I guess you can use edit for that. Shouldn’t come up that often anyway.A simple example is ANZAC. Let’s say you make NG and Solomons worth 2 IPCs as with the Extended Pacific Theater, they would have an income of 14, but then you just give them -4 to compensate. Once Japan takes let’s say NG, their income is decreased by 2, and Japan’s is increased by 2, in accordance with the rules.
-
yea i don’t want to change how convoy works. You only get a negative bonus right now if you conquer it and then lose it. Or, if it’s one you originally controlled, you will receive the negative bonus until you liberate it.
That doesn’t happen until your turn though. What I will do for now, is just remove the bonus for players that own those TTys. Then it will work correctly.

There original TTys. So JPN won’t get a bonus for Formosa, but they will get a negative 1 PU if they lose it and don’t take it back right away.
So in our Formosa case, JPN wouldn’t receive the +1 and end up with 53 which is correct. If they didn’t liberate it, they would get a -1 for 52, which would also be correct
-
@barnee actually it would be 51 not 52 as they wouldn’t get the OOB 1 PU for Formosa
-
The way it is coded, is that the bonus is separate from the OOB value. So PHI is 3 and triplea counts the OOB of 2, which is the only value that can get raided, for the 5 spot total.
I’ll check what ANZAC did and try and get G out before your day is over, so you can at least look at it :)
-
Oh I thought you had already gone. :)
-
Wonder if those Marines and Army Grunts are getting sea sick in 7 ?
Don’t normally see loaded Trprts. Nothing JPN can do about it though lol
Good Action ! You’ve already found two Major triplea errors since you’ve been back. :)
After 3 years, I would never have noticed them lol
Hopefully there aren’t anymore :)
-
The new Paratrtoopers don’t work correctly. You can’t edit and move them. The booster.
I have it fixed but we will have to fight in Edit when needed for now. -
So only when you can’t move the support boost unit in edit if the support unit is present in the battle, it will work as it’s supposed too.
Can’t move it to battle is the problem.
-
Have to move it before battle in edit and then boost will work
-
So start of Combat Move

Hey Barnee, sorry for the long silence. My final exams have proven to be more stressful and time-consuming than I thought! I couldn’t find the time for our game at all. I even caught a cold as well in the middle of it all. I can tell you, it’s so damn annoying to make a test when you have a runny nose lol 😖
I only need to focus now on my final test on June 5th. After that, I will be able to play at full speed again. I will then start the first game with Panzer too.Just letting you know that am still alive and certainly have not forgotten about our game! After a few more days, we can start ‘rumbling’ again, as Panzer always says lol 😂 Hope you are doing well.
-
Well, I guess I can do Aussies and French so that you can do G6, although I won’t be able to do R6 until the 6th of June. Need to write a game report and update my board as well lol.
Anyway I attacked your Japanese task force in SZ 17 with three subs, you have the option to submerge your sub or keep it in battle.
