Global 1940 Piece Count in Spreadsheet

@bakerbei I thought the Nimitz card was great for Global until you read the booklet and it says it doesn’t apply to seazones w/ naval bases. Which makes it really not that effective since most of the game you are staging and protecting naval bases. I think it would be really interesting if it let you get the 4th movement point. In fact I think I am going to just ignore the booklet rule and allow the Nimitz card to use the naval bases.

No, you can only place major IC’s on originally owned territory of that power. So Germany could place is on norway since they originally owned it but no other power could since…well it’s Germany’s original territory.

1942 2nd edition has no trays but the cards size is
12 cm x 6 1/2 cm ( Russia )
12 cm x 7 1/2 cm ( USA )
12 cm x 9 1/2 ( Germany & UK )
12 cm x 10 1/2 ( Japan )

1941 ( no cards as ipc value and units on back of manual )

1914 trays size

15 cm x 9 cm ( x 8 )
30 cm x 9 cm ( the box with all chips and dice etc in )

Depth to all is 3 1/2 cm.

I don’t think letting Germany go first in this setup would be devastating to balance at all.

Except for the ~1/3rd chance at a Russia takeover on G1!  Not good for tourney play, or non-tourney play.

I attacked Russia G1 today, the axis lost, but I wouldn’t blame the German strategy for it. I would do it again for sure. Sorry for the lame report, but it’s past my bed time.

It could facilitate blind games, which are loads of fun but currently very tedious and time-consuming.  (I’ve played one on AAR)

blind games=basically you can’t see the units in enemy territory, except perhaps in the ones adjacent to your own.  for now it takes 2 separate boards and one non-player person willing to be the moderator to keep the boards synced.

You would be wrong to think that. Polish calvary and German tanks never clashed. The Polish horsemen ran like hell when they saw tanks because they weren’t insane.
