Ya but every thing is raised +1 across the whole game for AD
So far Allies 3-2
But should be 4-1. Axis had 1 tank in coast city. Allies Didn’t bring enough troops.
It was nice had allies attack St. lo on T4 or 5
Added a few pieces to setup. 3 extra paratroopers and a few tigers late on card and AD@5 I think M1 only. Moved 3 block houses off coast on upper left side of map and put in 2 more against big US beachhead and other one against other US beach head.
This is the map I use.
Better take d day discussion to correct thread from now on

AA1942 Skip the 9-12 setup
If you’re tired of starting every game with the 9/12 Russian attack …This setup acts as if the Russian 9-12 attack has already happened and an average result was rolled. It is based on the Gencon 3.0 setup. It assumes that in the Ukraine battle Germany chose the bomber as the first casualty.
The first turn Russia is limited to non-combat moves and cannot move the ground units in west russia or in ukraine.
The fighters in Ukraine have just completed combat and cannot land in Ukraine or West Russia, they have 2 movement points to land elsewhere.
Russian Setup, same as OOB except:
Russia: 1 AA
Caucuses: 1 AA
West Russia: 7 Infantry, 2 Artillery, 1 Tank
Ukraine: 3 Tanks, 2 Fighters
Karelia: 1 IC
Caucasus: 1 IC
Archangel: Empty -

@8d88 well this would require the iron blitz rule: Russia Restricted. you don’t want them going after new targets. you basically skip combat on R1
-
@Imperious-Leader That’s what I was thinking, yeah. Going to try it out in a live game in a couple days.

@8d88 take pictures!

@Imperious-Leader sorry, no pics this time but the table did feel like this was a way better way to begin the game. Gets the game going a little quicker and with zero 9-12 anxiety for either side. Seems like it would be more fair for tournament play also.
