    Strange; I opened the G5-scramble file, did the combat, the NCM, and placement. I THEN saved changes, AND then changed the name of file by deleting “scramble”. This should have saved the whole G5 turn.

    In any case, I used the Auto save file after the G5 combat, redid the NCM (including edits) and placement, and saved as the G5 name you see (replacing the G5-scramble file on my desktop.
