My play by forum is working now?? Yes!!!
-
maps look good, so does bid. However, i have to use 2.6 version. If I use 2.5 version the game does not load, just the basic 2nd ed global set up
-
i suggest we give it a try
-
Working on G1 now
I also noticed 2.5 doesn’t work. You need it to download the map, then use 2.6
Was just opening the old map now so I can make my G1 decisions! -
G1 scramble to 110.tsvg
Now my post to forum is broken again. Maybe it’s which computer I use.Scramble to 110?
-
no scramble
- How do you practice edits?
- Any re-rolls?
-
Edits only allowed if opponent allows
But if there have been no dice since the thing being edited, (like you want to change US Noncom during UK purchase phase and China didn’t roll any dice) I would almost always allow and hope for the same from my opponent.
If the dice rolled really didn’t make any difference, then I would also generally allow and hope for the same.
But I don’t like promising edits of this nature will always be approved.
Do you want a different policy for our game? I always consider what my opponent wants.I don’t like either side promising re-rolls, but if a really extreme dice roll wrecks the game and both players agree (like you did for me years ago), then re-rolls can make sense.
But even then… what if I’d come back and won that game years ago after you gave me a couple planes back from G1? Neither of us would have felt good.
I had trouble writing what exactly I think about these things
Basically, edits and re-rolls have to be agreed upon at the time. Generally acceptable edits like even changing a US noncom when doing UK purchases or combat movement is generally acceptable.
If a player saves the file each phase and decides when about to roll UK dice that he really wanted to do his US noncom all different (and China didn’t roll), the opponent wouldn’t even know the difference. I often don’t save the files when I should, so have to reload or just ask for permission. Thanks for trying to make it clear before we get going! What do you think?

I REALLY like having sea zone lines when zoomed out. It’s been so long.
Now to get used to the funky borders, and placements of units,
The cruisers have the crosshairs, and the destroyers have the green things… -
Oh WOW
2 hits on Paris in round 1 looool -
Only 4 the second round… this could be very, very bad
Started great with hammering the cruiser in 91 and bad since then -
No, I guess it was 5. Still.
-
And… I think that’s the worst Paris I’ve ever had. I took in every single ground unit and only come out with 6 tanks. A lot of work and a probable loss lies ahead… Should be super fun for you lol
-
You did it again, maybe even better this time! You beat me without doing anything!
Only 91 went well, all else below average.
Paris is a 2% result
And we don’t know the map.
No fair running it in the regular map at the same time! I’m not.Spend all Russian money on tech. Maybe you will get improved production or advanced artillery.
-
I got the good tank roll on the final round when I only needed 1 hit!
-
I will read everything carefully later tonight and look at the file. I really like id you can post the summary. But no need to do that for G1 now
-
Summary is impossible. I got it to work once somehow recently,
But I haven’t been able to post summaries for years. -
In general I am with you with edits and re-rolls. I like to stick with the dice and suck it up. Easy for me to say today with that G1, but look at my current game against MrRoboto, not so much fun for the allies G1 there…
Edits. I think NCM edits are OK. I will almost always ever never (makes sense???) ask for edits of any kind if I have posted and you have moved. I think combats edits are OK, if you clearly missed a battle and want forum dice. But I will do my very best to avoid edits of any kind because I dont like it
Yeah, it is rough going there for you, obviously Paris is bad and now there is an option for a french counter! 106 is also bad, but you win the 50:50 cruiser battle so, I dont know and Yugo is normal, but like you say above avaerage for me
i take it! But the importance of G1 tends to be overestimated like @farmboy once said to me. I think he is right. I reckon you have a 60-70% win chance right now
