Does anyone have any really good Italian strategy’s also Is anyone down to call Italian strategy’s recipes, I don’t know why I just want to call them that

Nice to see you got some discussion :) I’m a intermediate player at best myself, so don’t have anything to offer that the Pros haven’t already :)
Can open for G on the E Front and help defend W EUR. That’s about it.
There are some House Rule mods you could try that make Italy a little more viable. Oztea 41 is an Excellent G 40 mod https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/20624/oztea-s-1941-global-setup?page=1
and @The-Captain and Company have this Awesome one. It definitely can give Italy a larger role. Or be removed completely :) But that can happen in OOB too :)

Playing OOB depends on your opponents. It’s still an Immensely Fun game for the casual as well as Expert player. The experts have just crunched it out to where they play with a bid.

Idk them well enough to comment on how Italy plays other than i believe it gives them a few more options.

Taranto is correct. That is the Italian Naval Base that the British hit in 1940. With Swordfish biplanes no less!!!
Although maybe the Canadian gamers would approve of Toronto ? Unless from Quebec :)

Hi. I like to play Italy, and usually my opponents say I do rather well
I know a good UK player should try to smash Italy as much as possible, and as soon as possible
Anyway not always happens
So, based on the following assumptions
A) UK does not do Taranto, because Germany landed with 1 or 2 fght in South Italy
B) G1 Germany take off the cruiser sitting in SZ91
C) UK wiped out SZ96, but then moved east, toward transJordan, to take Iraq and down to East Africa, IT remains with no army in Somalia and Eritrea.
D) Germany left untaken South France
Then a good starter for I1 would be
Non combat mov
Move 1 tank from north IT to Bulgaria
You shoud be able to get 10 + 7 + 5 (if no other UK ships in Med)
I2 go for Gibiltrar (if not massively occupied by UK) or complete north Africa with Algeria + Marocco
In order to be a good support to Germany and close the door (at least for a while) to US and UK, you should reach approx 30 IPC for I3 and following.
Also depends how aggressive is JAP in India, UK may think to move the fleet out of mediterranean sea
Grabbing Southern France and Greece isn’t enough to get that 5 IPC national objective. You also need Gibraltar or Egypt.

I doubt you would collect a $5 NO for no ships in the Med. While I have seen a few people abandon the Med, most players will use 1 of 2 strategies on UK1 in the Med. They will either do Taranto or Gibastion; both do not allow the $5 NO for Italy.
@AndrewAAGamer On I1 it is a good idea to take at least 1 UK territory,usually for me somewhere in east africa but maybe cyprus or malta,to deny UK their 5ipc bonus for retaining all their original territories.As well it might be benificial to let germany take SFrance G1.It gives italy a landing spot for fighters and germany has the option of building ships in the med starting G2.

It is very common to take at least 1 UK territory that they cannot take back until later in the game.

I have seen this a couple of times. If your intention is to definitely build a German Navy in the Med to assist Italy fighting the UK navy then that would be one way to do it. The other is just build a strong navy off of Germany and swing it around Gibraltar. Off course that assumes the Axis can take Gibraltar to allow entry into the Med.
Since most people want to fight a land war against Russia with Germany, rarely does anyone go for Southern France on G1 and instead let Italy take it on I1. Also, by taking it with Germany on G1 there is a good chance you lose some or all of the income from it due to the French fleet where that does not happen to Italy.
Finally, I would not suggest this tactic since it goes against my Axis and Allies Warfare Principles of attacking with overwhelming strength in key battles. Germany attacking France on G1 is THE most important battle of the game. If Germany fails to take it the game is over. While one might argue that diverting forces changes that 99.9% battle to 99.4% battle is no big deal it really means instead of losing 1 game in a thousand you are losing 1 game in 200.

Agree. Also Germany get a +5 for any unit in Egypt, right ?
But I see that to try it in an early phase, is more the pain than the gain, because Egypt is a usually a ping-pong, between IT and UK. So, even if you have one or two German units there, you can keep them for a 1 turn or 2
