ah, yes, sure, had not checked that out - and your odds are better than mine. My game versus elche may take a while still - you don’t wanna restart till then?
-
you mean, that we start a potential playoff in advance?
-
and call it a regular league game in case elche wins?
-
@pacifiersboard yup.
-
that’s an idea! Should we turn to gamerman if we can do this?
-
@pacifiersboard let’s just do it. Summer will be busy for me. Nice to get this done.
For bidding, would you be willing to try a sealed bid auction:
We each message a neutral person like Andrew with our bids. Person who bids lowest gets Allies with a bonus equal to the average of the two bids (rounded down)
Example: you have a sealed bid of 40. I bid 45. You are Allies for +42.
-
interesting, always open to such stuff (not necessarily in playoff))
Have you done sealed bidding before? What if we bid the same? I can pick then? ^^
-
Sealed bid gives us both incentives to put in a number that we think is fair, and then end up getting something that is better than what we think is fair. Not as much thinking about what the other person will do.
Sure, if it is a tie, you get to choose sides.
-
Fine, fine. Do you ask Andrew? Do you want dice to be LL? I’ll let you know when I chose my bid.
-
@pacifiersboard regular dice. I have submitted my sealed to Andrew and let him know to validate it on Wednesday or later if you ask.
What is your Allies bid?
-
sure, that works. I actually find it a challenging way to bid and having little clue what an overall fair bid is I guess that I will end up with Axis… but 55 it is
-
May I ask the favor to continue with the game of this thread at least for a little while?
-
@pacifiersboard sure no problem. We can play as long as you want.
Need a pause for the next game bidding, or will you be able to decide before Wednesday?
-

I made many words, but I stick with 55 :)
-
@pacifiersboard I bid 56 so we are very consistent with our ideas
When we start next, you will be Allies for (55+56)/2 = 55.
-
oh, wow, yes - that doesn’t feel like a poor bid then!
-
just use as many opportunities as possible for blunder in the current game and we can start the next!! lol
-
-
I am doing the same with my match with Andrew. Make some mistakes and learn.
-
great, thx, was totally trusting in your integrity - but I would have confirmed, too
