I think you should redo. We got too much time invested for a rule misunderstanding :)
But looking on the app it is just a matter of time that Moscow will fall. Germany has become to strong!

And taking advantage of the total war production gives anorher 20-30 IPC payback per round.
That’s will be hard for the Allies to catch up.
