Question about kamikazes on TripleA

yea I don’t really know, just that league guys use it to pbf. There’s a few other people here that use it as well.

They’re separate sites. Seems like there was a little more interaction when redrum was actively developing.

@Navalland OK, so that is your background layer.

In brief:
On other layers apply an image of a greyscale streetmap to the territory outlines and create some cloud-like effect on the seazone-layer. The territory layer should have a high level of transparency, you need to experiment here. When you are ready merge the territory layer and the seazone layer to one png-file, preserving transparency there. This will be your relief-image. Of course you can apply whatever visual effect you want there.

Maybe something similar exists for GIMP, too.

Yea, it was a bit of a bother there for a minute, lol. Got the thread up and running, and just have to wait for folks to start responding…

It’s been some time since this question has been asked, but I just want to mention another workaround for people interested in this topic.

With “Chrome Remote Desktop” users can remotly access another computer through a Chromebook.

So if you keep for example a Windows computer with Java and TripleA running at home
you will be able to access it and play TripleA using your Chromebook when travelling.

Subs rolling separately is a minor issue in low luck games.  If you have 1 ss 1 dd 2 bb against a fleet with a dd–the total punch is 12, but it’s quite possible to only get 1 hit.  It would be an improvement if subs are lumped in with the gross total in that scenario (eg only if the enemy has a dd that negates the surprise shot).

Good work Hobbes on getting a working V5/V6 going.  It’s nice to see such a quick transition from game release, to TripleA readiness!

Just don’t pay too much attention to the graphic look… I couldn’t wait anymore until my ordered Spring 1942 2nd Ed arrives at my local store (takes quite a while usually) ;)

As for the NO’s and such, just this Thursday the developer announced he had an anlpha release ready, and they are testing it.
He expects a Beta this week.
(However, sligth problem, tripleadev.org went down yesterday….)

And Jen…it’s kinda cheap to knock on TripleA being it’s 10th release, where Battlemap is only at .87 or whatvere.
What do you think? Battlemap is a picture, and other small pictures that you need to drag around yourself.
TripleA actually incorporates an entire game engine.

Let me see you do that in one release…
