Interesting back and fourth regading dice. Japan continues hemorrhaging ground units, but an airstrike with a positive TUV exchange against 11 men, especially when you have to expect to go into a second round, is a big relief for Japan.
Quite some battles for such an early game. Excited to see how this one unfolds from here.

@JDOW I thought I had to do it because if I didn’t he would otherwise have been able to stack Yunnan on round 2. I probably just needed the one round though as I just needed to do enough to prevent him from taking Yunnan with China. But yeah, that was a battle that went better than it could have.

@gamerman01 2 first round hits. My thinking that that is good enough to assume max d going forward and that you won’t want to conserve the AA.

Incorrect. If you kill everything but the AA, your units get sucked in to Normandy, and depending on the dice I might have just wanted that.
With 2 hits, take AA and French infantry.
Next would be French arty

Oh, I suppose you meant with 2 hits, that’s your thinking. Still, be careful to assume, I take unconventional casualties and do unconventional scrambles from time to time

@gamerman01 In this case because you don’t have a counter (unless you use allied air) I figured you wouldn’t want to draw me in. My goal was to take it. But my odds were around 94% so there was a possibility that you would win. And I thought you might be interested in conserving the AA if I was doing poorly.
