@gamerman01 I thought you were going to stop after one round and I was going to say that we will have to see how it all looks after. It is definitely a big set back for the allies, but maybe not game decisive. I felt like I had no choice but to go for it because if I didn’t get Bryansk now, I was not going to get it, I thought. And I figured your position was good enough that you might not be willing to gamble on this.

@farmboy We will have to see after 2 rounds but that might be more of a problem for the allies unless the trade was fairly close.

I understand there is a good chance that you would win or only lose in a way that is pyhrric for me. So if you went for it, the most likely outcomes were an allied win or a weakening of both sides that will favour the Allies longer term. But a more decisive axis win is a possibility too. And I figured you might not want to risk that because the allied position on the board is pretty strong.

I absolutely can’t let the Germans walk by Moscow with those odds. Germany has all the options and the allies don’t. You have to whack their stack. I have no doubt you made the right decision moving into Bryansk. You might have risked taking it with the Italians, though.
