@Adam514 I’ll concede here. I was dragging it out a bit because it was fun to play this one. It was a hopeless situation anyway, but the AA hits on my bombers definitely made that more clear.
I’ll note you will have seen some weird dice there. 3 bombers going to France and W Germany were setup to attack rather bomb and so I used in game dice to correct that. But I then had a W Germany combat set up with 2 bombers attacking which I had to go through as well.

@farmboy Very well played! It’s now 2 games back to back that I was quite close to losing as Axis, and if I remember correctly I don’t have a single Axis loss in BM/G40?
Western Europe barely held on after I took Moscow. I think you might have had a window to take Western Germany if you set up for it, and then France and Italy remain under Allied control.
@Adam514 you had one loss to me about 3 years ago. I had a game with consistently incredible dice and managed to barely get the win, so it might be better to say that you lost to Marti.
Here I misplayed the Soviets. I miscounted the units you had to attack Moscow and thought I had another turn (once you set up for it the turn before, I realized, but before that, thought you wouldn’t quite manage it) Had I been a little more careful there (keeping more allied air in range), I think I would have been able to delay that without, I hope, undercutting too much the pressure the allies were bringing to the med.
And I thought I might have had a better option in Western Europe as well. I could have held France early but I was so committed to keeping the Normandy Factory American, and in holding Norway that I didn’t think it through properly. Of course, since I didn’t go down that path, I might not be seeing some of the limitations there as well.
But regardless it was a fun game and I enjoyed that it played a little differently than usual.
