Ended up not mattering, as the 2nd tip maximized your defense power. The dice turned harshly on Germany’s 2nd round, and only got 1 hit. US got a really lucky 3rd round, which pretty much ended the battle.
I think sinking the transport fleet has probably ended the Axis here. I think this should have been a victory. I will have a think about this.
Very well could/would(?) have been an Axis victory if Sea Lion was successful. You were pretty much committed at that point with the transport buy. Good disguise going for it, I should have done better to see it coming.
USA did have pretty good odds to sink the transport fleet, I think it was 73%, but USA rolled very poorly, but fortunately for the Allies, Germany rolled even worse.
