@zlefin I don’t really have a definitive answer here as I rarely end up doing a sea lion. If I do it in the early game, it will be because the axis have a 100% odds and so likely a positive tuv exchange. If I do it later game, its either because I’m close to winning (and so again I’ll probably wait for 100% odds) or I’m desperate and the opportunity arose (where I’m probably more prepared to risk worse odds and a potential tuv loss.

I tend to scramble 110 and 111 if the outcome in each battle is a better tuv exchange. The dice can burn you and make you more vulnerable to sea lion. But more often than not, the trade in air makes sea lion harder for the Germans, and one can effectively win a game G1, if the dice burn the axis instead. I also think that aggressive axis openings are often assuming that the allies will avoid the risk of a scramble. In a league setting where how one plays becomes a bit of a known quantity, the fact that I do tends to make axis opponents more risk averse and so I often don’t see both 110 and 111 getting hit.

I also don’t usually do Taranto. I do think it is a good move, but I favour Gibastion, which has the benefit of making sea lion harder even if the dice favoured the axis G1.

@simon33 I understand that life gets in the way sometimes, and so I’m open to agreeing to a different and slower schedule, if that is what you need but just would want to discuss. We went 10 rounds in January and have only done 2 since (so a rate of play that is less than a turn a week).
