Just a simple AA 50th Ann map thatws not a huge file.

I think they should still cost 5. The Wizards.com FAQ for revised (2004 edition) says AA guns can target fighters or bombers separately. So the AA guns are no stronger in AA50. They are actually weaker because they no longer fire on planes passing over-head like they did in revised.

I would preface this with my opinions about these options.

National Objectives

Usually these are more often lost and hard to (re-)obtain for the allies.  The axis are usually advancing and can more easily achieve their national objectives, with the exception of Italy, whom the allies can deny the Italian NOs more easily.

I am not a big fan of the randomness that is built into the achieving of technologies.  Plus the techs are not even in their strengths:  Super Subs for Russia?  practically worthless

But if you play with tech, I think that favors the Axis.  Why?  Most techs are offensive in nature, which is the Axis main strategy/strength, especially early.  It would be nice if Jet Fighters were still a ‘5’ on defense instead of a 4 on offense (no longer a defensive tech).  Similiarly, advanced art could be a defensive aid as well (inf defense to a ‘3’).

~$8 sq/ft is what I was quoted from several sources as well. So, for a 72x36 you’re looking at a pretty serious outlay of coin. Then you have to seal it.

I forgot to ask.  Have any of you started using any of the new rules we have discussed from AA50?  I have posted in other threads, my results.  What about you guys?  Granted, I want to add a new rule every game session, or so my friends tell me ( I love variety. )  We play face to face on a 6’ 2004Revised board, now we play with the new rules we have collected on this site,
(thanks Krieghund and everyone else.) 
So, I am curious, have any of you guys, did the same and what did you think.  I loved it.  Like I have said before lots of Navy now, operational and useful, especially subs.
also, the planning map prints nicely on legal paper(found at staples for me,) most printers can use, even when not mentioned in the printers manual.
