My guess it that it gets the obligatory 1 R INF to “represent Russian Interest”, but UK Units and all-but-one CP INF have one turn to leave? Or is it just a normal contested territory because technically AH currently “owns” the territory (although its status is contested).
My understanding of the rules in the order you wrote them:
-I feel strongly that there is no “control” in a contested zone. In point of fact, the mines reverted back to “Russian” mines at the conclusion of the previous Russian turn once it became contested (even though it started as an “Austrian” territory). This is how the French/British were able to slip the minefield.
-Agree. It’s an originally controlled Russian territory that is currently contested (for purposes of determining RR).
-Right so in accordance with the RR rules, CP must have at least one infantry in the territory (but can have as many as it likes) and the territory produces no income for the duration of the game. We can leave a R infantry in there but I don’t much see the point? The British must get back on the transport on their next turn or be eliminated for failure to do so.
I will adjust the map and repost - just be sure to check it before you roll on.
@the_good_captain Yeah this map looks about right. Do you mind if we also flip Russia’s territory from “Russia-owned” to “Contested-owned”? That’s what we did in previous games and it helps me more accurately track the Income/TUV values across the board. I am going to make the changes on my end when I upload Germany’s turn later today, but feel free to switch it back if it’s an issue.

How did you move the Americans out of spain/into Marseilles? Posted AH6/G6 anyway but I’m pretty sure you can only move out of contested territories into territories your power specifically controls, not an ally.

Question that I forget the exact ruling on: Can FTRs travel over Neutral Territory without violating said territory’s neutrality? I think the answer is “yes” but would like your confirmation as it might matter in the next round.

I’m kinda surprise your intuition was “yes”. I don’t know any version of AnA where that is true. Is there a version where you can do that?
@domanmacgee this rule about fighters though has surprised more than one other opponent. In the fewest words, you cannot “freeze” fighters in a contested zone like you can with land units:

Yes, as long as you are also attacking with infantry. Fighters are not subject to the same movement restrictions that land units are.
Fighters can always move up to two spaces, regardless of where they begin the turn. The only exception is when they begin the turn on a transport, in which case they may only be offloaded. They may never fly over neutral territories, but they may attack them along with land units.

And if the tt is contested (and the defending fighter remains there) can that same fighter attack out of it to another battle (right next to it lets say) (on the defenders next turn) or 1c. does it have to follow the moving out of contested tt rule whereby the units moving out of a contested zone can’t attack a new tt. (it might only say land units so it seems the fighter could make an attack from the contested tt)

That restriction applies only to land units, and therefore not to fighters. They may move anywhere they may normally move when leaving a contested territory.
@domanmacgee check me on this but I believe that since Ukraine was a contested territory and since the ottomans gained control on their turn, is it not now an Ottoman territory?
