@oysteilo After youve built as many carriers as you can fill with the starting planes, I think it might be best to play defensively with the navy, and focus 100% on land.

The US will overcome the Japanese at some point, so that will result in the loss of the DEI, and convoy raiding of your coastal territories. If you’ve got all of China under control, that’s 12 IPCs that cant be taken away, and if you grab the russian territories, that another 5-7 IPCs that are guaranteed. If you combine that with the occasional lucky convoy rolls, youve got like 30 IPCs per round to work on breaking India, or infantry on japan. Or just solidifying controll over the stuff you have making it harder and harder for the allies to make progress

You’re getting closer. Defining it in terms that you have will work for the purposes of this rule.

The UK ships, and all of their other units for that matter, are controlled by one unified UK. The terms Europe economy and Pacific economy are only relevant when it comes to purchasing and placing units and making repairs to facilities. After the purchase and repair phase of the UK’s turn, all of the units move and fight as one power. On the place units phase and collect income phase, then the “economies” are separated again.

I understand what you are getting at about Germany being able to put a Major IC in Norway. I have never put a Major up there, but I have put Minors in Norway before.
The rule states that to place a Major IC, the territory has to be worth 3 or more IPCs and be one of your nation’s original territories. One possible solution would be to use HBG’s 1939 variant map. I think you could still set it up to play 1940 and the only original German territories would actually be IN Germany itself. They couldn’t even place a Major in Romania.

I believe all the replies apply to Alpha 3 and 2nd ed which is what most here play.  In 1st ed OOB Germany itself starts with a minor factory that can be upgraded.  Actually, I think in 1st ed OOB that you can build a major in ANY 3 ipc+ territory.

UK pac is the answer to EURO axis after a KJF… that’s why people do KJF. I don’t like the aa gun buy. also I tend to buy strait inf for uk1, because I sink the hell out of italy. I don’t care if I get sea lioned. Gives usa something to do in the atlantic, because I tend to buy some mech for russia anyway. so the turn london is nabbed i got romania hold and can hit the other adjacent to russia spots.

Which is why I never really minded sea lion so much. russians bank hard. i save persia for them to blitz too, I always do that russian income thing in iraq/persia and if i can get the two italy territories in east africa, I do it too. just 3 mech all i need to start banking. get a bomber to bring down there so 2-3 mech inf 1 bomber kills 1 ethiopia guy or w/e unless uk has it.

UK Europe is 26? They have 34 with NO so there are 4 subs doing convoy raids?

It depends on how many SUBs remain.  When I was Germany I only had 1 SUB left, SgtBlitz had 3 SUBs left.  Including the NO The range should be from 34 at most, to 28 at least depending on German strategy.
