@dawg Sweet move to Sakhe. I hadn’t considered that you were strong enough to split your forces. Hopefully this puts C on the defensive, so he stops moving west.

Congratulations on your victory the Entente! Austria launched an all or nothing attack with very slightly over 50% odds on Rome and lost badly. Witt and I agreed beforehand that if this failed we would surrender. It’s a shame because Russia was getting ever more interesting. Here’s the save game file for the partial turn: Austria-14.tsvg

@private-panic unlucky Afam. It was a forlorn chance.
Thanks guys . Really enjoyed that game.
I think Ron is hoping to join us for thr nect game and Colt said he would play too .
That would be 8 players .
Shall we do 5vs 3 (Commies and Turkey as one player)?
I can’t roll dice, but, perhaps , we can wait to definitively hear from Ron , then roll 8 sets of dice .

Yeah, count me in. I can roll the dice if needed.

I was surprised that CP conceded. R was being crushed from all directions and CP was not at risk. But I was glad to get the win, my first. But the game was getting more interesting, with R abandoning Dnieper, C moving west, and USA threatening C from the Pacific, plus UK growing presence in NW and southern R. R couldn’t take Belarus. But UK would have taken Don (assuming T held in Cauc or took Volgograd), letting R cav join army Kiev in destroying A army Dnieper. Things were just starting to get bloody and a messy free for all in R. F was pouring HGs into Pied and USA was starting to convoy troops into Italy, with lots more on the way. So I guess A decided to go for Rome before the defense shifted more towards Rome. A could have held defensively in Italy while crushing R with G, T & C. UK LFs and fighters and USA tt’s were able to redirect to Rome, giving A only 55% chance and no backup army in Tusc to follow up with cav or gas. Taking Rome with better odds would have required a major investment by A, over many more turns. Too bad I get the last pick. I enjoyed UK and also would have liked Turkey.

@elrood Well, well, what are the chances that despite your #7 pick, no one ahead of you wanted Germany. Here’s your chance to redo your position as G and see if you can take Paris this time. Or try a different approach. You’ve already played both Austria and Germany in our team game. I’ve played Austria, but not Germany. Either way, we’ll be on the same side for a change. How can we lose? Just glad not getting France again after 2 times.
