These rules are part of the Axis & Allies 1940 Global 2E, House Rules Expansion.
These elite combat units bring a new dimension to the game, especially to the fighting on The Eastern Front.
Hi, I was reading here a week or so ago a discussion on limits to infantry. Someone had asked thinking similar to what I do that some sort of limits might speed up the game. I can’t seem to find the topic to see where the discussion ended up going.
Now I’m not really concerend so much from a real world or historical aspect- just from a keep things moving aspect.
Does anyone have experience with limits (simple and the same for everyone) on the numbers of INF a nation can build (other than its number of IPCs for you smarty pants out there?)
Has anyone given any research to the idea of requiring a variety of units be built dependent on a nations income? If you have 40 IPCs you are required say 3 different types of units. Less IPCs less required variety, so a poor nation or a nation on the ropes can go for numbers if it has to.
Just looking for an easy and fair way to avoid 20 high stacks of INF.
Look under phase one. That has been playtested and it works. It does cover such things.
Yes. The main problem is that in reality infantry is raising from population (territories). Not manufactured at factories (IC).
