If it is a real board game you’re looking for, then Eclipse and her extension : you can play up to 9 players, and it’s really fun. With 9 peoples, it could take up to 5-6 hours to complete the game though.

Probably the best strategy game that requires you to “know” your opponents, if you can still find it is Samurai Swords/Shogun.

One of the BEST games ever…  if you can still find it.

I just got rid of my copy not too long ago along with my old copy of the MB game Conquest of the Empire.

The ones we’re not supposed to ever touch?  Along with the towels we’re not supposed to use to dry our hands?

All Axis & Allies games. Some American Civil War games. Also Railroad Tycoon. No time or players for any others. I thought that I would like online versions of AA but the commitment to others that I do not know is awkward. I feel bad if I start and then have to leave before the game is over. If its someone that I know then we can always save and continue later. I am involved with this forum only.

I’ve always found the history of the War card game quite interesting, especially when you compare it to Solitaire. I think both games have survived for so long because they are easy to learn and play, making them accessible to everyone, regardless of age or skill level.
